Saman was brought in to backfill Benrahma. Expectation was that he would go to west Ham.

100% agreed. Hopefully Saman has an amazing season and helps Brentford promote. They have done an amazing job of recruitment and sale for profit.

Hope is either they can promote with Saman or he impresses enough for a big time transfer.

What Saman needs now more than anything is playing minutes to hit back peak form & this transfer Facilitates that more than anything else ..!
Most all English clubs are Deep AF on squad depth Across all positions & that imo is biggest challenge facing players in English clubs from reaching/ performing @ their max potential..! Competition for game minutes is simply too high & ultimately w/o consistent minutes nearly no individual player can prove their real caliber & worth( excluding the rare case with mighty ARJ, off course..!)

That's impressive for a Championship player. He's clearly a special player. Good for Brentford and Benrahma.

A summary of brentfords amazing player development and resale profit in last few seasons. Add benrahma to west ham, bought for under EU1.5 mil and sold for 25-30.

I wonder if saman will add his name to this last in a couple seasons...Maybe wont have any need to if he shines and they promote.

He's gone. Initial loan but obligation to buy for £25m rising to £30m.
They'll need that money to try and keep Saman when he rapes the country harder than COVID-19 and leads them to the prem.

Word coming out is that he forced the deal through at the end, Moyes came Out and said he didn’t fail the medical but something else was hindering it and they were looking into other options.
Looks like West Ham wanted loan to buy and Brentford wanted them to buy outright but Benrahma has said something to get the deal through.
