PAG hasn't played for almost a year and now there is talks about him joining perspolis and ..... people want him to be in the team melli line up??? Why??? how do you guys know that he will be perform as he used to.

I like PAG but COMEeee Onn use your common sense. How do you want a player who hasn't touched a ball for almost a year to be in our WC squad?

Again i hope he can get his form back and be ready for WC 22 but right now i choose Kanani , shoja , majid and even siavash over him.

World Cup is in 9 months, he has time to get his form back.

He has every right to make money, but when you chase money instead of improvement (especially after making plenty playing for years in Qatar and China), then you shouldn't be surprised if your form drops and you eventually get phased out.
The good thing is I don't think he'll be in China much longer. The teams are basically going bankrupt and slowly they have to push away expensive foreigners.

Nothing..? sure he can choose self gratification ALWAYS with his career choices..!! all power to him..! BUT in TM you must play for PRIDE..!! and I'm a TM fan and couldnt give a flying fk about chenchen or whatever..!!
if your career choices repeatedly shows little to no consideration for it's effect in TM...then me as a TM FAN Why the Fk should i give a shitt if you got hurt and struggling to Figure In much in the TM picture in the run up the biggest showcase of the game at WC..!?

that is why as a TM fan i can't even be arsed to click on the ayrab league legionnaires highlights thread ..!! I'd gladly instead root for even a poorer quality positional player that's busting his ass on a much more meager salary instead trying to figure in national team and giving all they got personally for the increased pride of his country and people..!!
on the contrary i'd gladly root for Majid Hossaini's chances of challenging the current starters for WC appearances and minutes..!!

generally speaking, in CB Position especially , Working together Chemistry and STABILITY often Beats keep swapping out for hot in form guy .... especially so for the long run..!!
unless it's warranted by recent results and or in experimental games/friendlies ... i rather not fk with the usually starting Duo..!!

Dreamer jaan, PAG definitely acted unwisely with regards to China. It is in his interviews with IRIB. He said he signed the contract without realizing that he had to be quarantined in a room for two weeks when he got to China. He found out the night before his flight. Ok, next time do your homework please when signing a contract. Your career is more important than just money. Money is a necessary factor for happiness and fulfillment in life but it is not the ONLY necessary variable. My interpretation is that he signed the contract more interested in the figure not realizing how it could impact his health and career. Now he has to come back from an ACL tear that even with the best medical care puts him in jeopardy for future damage and tears. I know this from first hand experience talking to to top notch orthopedists in person.

Having said all this, I stand for him to make wise decisions in the future and get back to shape because TM needs him for WC 2022.

I agree that he should leave China and Perspolis under Yahya is a good destination. If you listen to the interviews he recently had, the China strict quarantines caused weight and muscle loss even with all he tried to do alone in the room that ultimately resulted in his ACL tear. I rather see him back in Europe. I think he has been a little bid too interested in the money in the past and it is a good idea to rethink that.

hard for me to pull too hard for the overly selfish, money-grubbing, who has placed his own interest$$ well ahead of that of TM's @ every freaking juncture so far in his playing career..!!
that's, regardless of the guy being a tremendous talent and having a very likable personality to boot..!!
even a resurging to full fitness and form PAG (highly improbable..!? ) would still find it difficult to legitimately unseat either of our current starting CBs..!! Shoja....maybe..? if he doesnt sort his dip in form prior to WC Camp... but kannani ... fk no..!! but then again he may yet get demoted as silly punishment for his bangbus fiasco..? so there is some hope for him there too..!
like i said earlier .... if a player shows that frequent and blatant disregard for his TM career over Club/him$elf ....! then the hell with him... !! personally wouldnt give a flying fk if he never suited up for TM again..!

That's why I said peak Seyed Jalal. Agreed that by 2018, Seyed Jalal had lost too much speed. He was never the fastest CB.

At this point, I'm ok with trying any of the U23 CBs for a few games before the WC.

I'm assuming Noorafkan will start in place of Kanaani for the next 2 qualifiers alongside Shoja.

I doubt it, given majids great form and the fact skocic has spoken very highly of him (despite not playing him) I would be shocked if he doesn’t get the two starts.

I like the move to bring noorafkan to cb for the uae game though. It will give him a better understanding of his defensive responsibility and positioning to help his cb when he returns to LB

Ultimately for the asian level Jalal is/was brilliant. For the international level was solid enough, but lacked speed and ball playing ability to really go one level higher (hence issues vs bosnia, majid being preferred in 2018).

IMO, PAG is the most complete central defender we have produced in the last 20 years along with Rahman Rezaei, but for me his temperment and decision making even trumps rahman's.

In terms of talent, we only have 4 players that are truly capable of playing at a top class level regularly. Azmoun, Taremi, Ezatolahi (failed so far due to laziness) and PAG (bc of family, emotional reasons never had the career in europe his abilities deserved).

But I much prefer to see PAG with Yahya in PP than Shenzhen.

Good that he's back in training, he is head and shoulders above the other CB's we have if fully fit. It still remains to be seen if he can get back to his usual self since he has been injured for quite a while. But I believe he should start at the WC alongside Kanaani or Hosseini.
