The play off is against oceania if I remember well, so nothing undoable.
A weak zone is not a blessing for iran at all. Our teams play in a weak zone, their level doesn't improve. As the zone is weak nobody pay attention to it so we are neither covered nor scouted. Our talented players have to pass their prime years in 2nd rate European teams at best.

Iran proved to play good against top teams. I am sure they would have improved by playing copa America every year, plus south american qualification, plus sending more players in Europe thanks to a better coverage.

Playing the like of bahrain and their anti football do us much harm than good

Of course they export more than us, they are an ex Spanish colony, playing in a zone highlighted by Brazil and Argentina, so more coverage and scout.
They have 4.5 automatic qualifying spots, not 5.

So that's the same amount of spots as Asia but with much harder competition like Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Columbia, Peru vs Japan, Korea, uae, Iraq and Bahrain.

Funny thing is, we usually only have to face 1 other "top team" like korea or Japan during qualifiers but Ecuador has to face all of brazil, Argentina, Uruguay etc.

So there's no comparison for difficulty of qualiying.

Also, Even if Ecuador has a scouting advantage for playing in Europe, it still doesn't change the fact that their players have had way more success than ours in Europe.

So mentioning that we've had 3 players at bayern doesn't prove anything at all.

None of them even lasted for more than 1 season or 2 max, and they were mainly subs for most of their time at bayern, especially daei and hashemian, who barely ever played.

No, the continent they face for 5th spot changes every world cup. Uruguay once came in 5th and had to face Asia's 5th place team, Jordan, and DESTROYED THEM 6/8-0 on aggregate.

Regardless of whether they get to improve due to better competition and coverage from euro scouts, they aren't a "random south American country" that's not as good as us in football.

The 0,5 spot is an easy play off so it is almost 5. 5 out of 10. In asia, we have 2 teams out of 5 or 6 teams.

Then we face 1 top team but we have to play other specialist of anti football grass rolling in preliminary group (bahrain, jordan, Oman etc..) and in the final group. We gain nothing from playing such team. And I don't even count AFC bias against us and playing in a malaysian swimming pool against syria.

Had we played Brazil, Argentina regularly, our team would have been much stronger.

Except once they played jordan (5/0 in Uruguay and 0/0 in jordan) , generally they play oceania. Overall they play a weaker opposition in play off

Yo how has this thread turned into a quarrel about qualifiers

On the subject of Brighton. There was no injury updates beside (Mac Allister and Veltman being doubtful) for the game today, so I guess no Alireza.

However, if you're a gambling person, I recommend tossing a 5er on Brighton. It pays out x7.

We've covered everything else. Just have to discuss the benefits of automation of agricultural processes in developing countries and I think we're good to close it after.

has any of the TM coaches in the past 2 or 3 years even SPOKEN to the BHA club or coach?
Nat'l team coaches DO that quite regularly, inquiring (read pushing or pressurizing) club coaches to play their players, .. or at least find out what's going on. And indirectly show the club, the player IS IMPORTANT, and has backing of his nat'l team coach. So the cub cant willy nilly do whatever the fuck they want with the player.... like some orphan!

and if the player is naive enough, or humble and shy enough to ask for it, the Nat'l team coach can ask for a loan transfer arrangement to be given serious consideration.

I doubt anyone from TM staff has even bothered to find out BHA's contact numbers. Let alone call ... or god forbid, actually VISIT the club management and speak about JB's position!!!

Not sure about BHA specifically but Skocic went on a European tour visiting all our legionnaires and talked with the coaching staff of most teams. Only reason he didn’t go to UK was bc JB was injured at the time which he said in an interview once too....Skocic is a competent and professional coach

but specifically visiting or contacting the club regarding the fate of a specific player and situation that JB is in is another.

As is evident, JB is either incapable or unconcerned about his situation at this crappy club. He desperately needs some mature wise counsel. and clearly he's not getting it. agent or otherwise!
At the same time BHA has to understand he is an important player with bigger ppl backing him.

In addition to the serious COVID-19 pandemic fatigue, I am definitely suffering from ARJ BHA saga fatigue. I have said enough.

Remember IFF letters to Fifa over the years, eaven during CQ times? And i bet IFF had put hours of works on those letters before sending them..

                                wasnt really a leisurely tour.

He met with Eupen coaching staff and had long talk with them about saeid and omid situation last season (their coaching staff also confirmed this, head coach said hes happy to be visited by NT coaches)

He met with Semak in St petersburg and watched sardar's game there.

He met with Charleroi and Gent coaches to discuss kaveh, gholi, milad.

His assistant lives in madeira and has contact with abedz and maritimo staff and watches his games in person a lot.

Similarly skocic and staff were in constant discussion with Leko and antwerp staff (they have croatian GK coach, ex marseille and croatian NT regular) about beiranvand, hence they allowed beiro to stay in antwerp for a few TM friendlies to take #1 spot there. Similar situation with taremi, ghoddos.

And skocic had long talk with Dinamo head coach about sadegh, he was there for a few days too.

really no need to disparage the guy when he is doing his due diligence across the board.
