I just think AJ does not fit Potter's system as Eriksen also does not fit Conte's system. AJ was primarily a Hughton-transfer and is unlucky he does not fit Potter's system. Most of the times AJ gets subbed in at the moment that Potter decides to play a different system (more attacking 3-4-3).

I cant believe this team people were saying are so analytical and smart with transfers signed lallana and welbeck as their major summer additions. They will be lucky if they can even 5 goals out of those this season. Welbeck is due an injury any day now.

The only thing you can't say about BHA and its management is "smart". If the lizard had any football brains, he would not have hired, let alone the extend a 5-year contract to a con-artist like Potter. And for what, achieving the same results that CH was fired for.

Both Lallana and Welbeck were mistakes. Both were really good players, but their healthier days are well behind them. Picking older well-known players shows a lack of confidence by the technical team in judging, choosing, and grooming younger players, which there are plenty of, both on BHA roster as well as outside. They think of it as a short-cut to results, but it is only a re-affirmation of their incompetence in technical aspects of managing a team.

As I have said for over a year, this BHA team with Potter at the helm is going nowhere, with or without AJB. Yes, AJB is a great player, but not great enough to change the trajectory of this team, even if he was given a chance, and he is not given that chance anyway.

p.s. Of course if you look at the standings table while standing on your head, BHA comes in at #5. That's pretty good, ey?

They'll barely remain in the EPL, Potter will call it a victory in a "very tough" league, chalk it up to a "rebuilding year", and repeat for another 3 years.

Or they'll coast to safety playing some of the most entertaining football in the league all whilst avoiding having to spend £26m on likes of Brewster but instead doing it through pure power of coaching.
