Ghoddos moving to Brentford would be the best football news since Taremi moved to FC Porto, hope it happens!

"BRENTFORD CLOSING IN ON SIGNING OF ATTACKER
Brentford are likely to complete the signing of long-term target Saman Ghoddos as they look to strengthen their options in the final third.
The Iran international has been on the Bees radar for some time and they are pressing ahead with his signing now after losing Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma is set to follow him out of the club, with Crystal Palace heavily linked with the playmaker.
Whilst Ivan Toney has joined, further additions are needed for Thomas Frank and the Telegraph have revealed that talks are at an advanced stage over Ghoddos, who will join the club from Amiens.
The 27-year-old wasn’t involved as his current side were beaten at home by Paris FC in Ligue 2 over the weekend, indicating that a transfer may be imminent.
The Londoners will hope to wrap this one up quickly after a slow start to the season that highlighted the issues that Brentford have going forward. Despite creating several clear chances, Frank’s men wasteful and beaten 1-0 by Birmingham City in their Championship opener on Saturday.
The verdict
It’s quite clear that Brentford rate Ghoddos and their recruitment team have shown in the past that they are capable of identifying some quality players.
So, they need to be trusted and they need at least one new attacking player as Benrahma’s exit seems a matter of time now.
Ghoddos will welcome the move and he is a player that is ready to make an instant impact as Brentford hope to push for automatic promotion this season."

given benrahma hasnt been playing so far this season I think its obvious he will be shipped out. Just waiting for right fee. He has plenty of suitors.Originally posted by Medzdidz View PostConfirmation from a reporter who is usually pretty accurate that Ghoddos will go to Brentford as a replacement for Benrahma if/when they sell him.

I think the fee has already been agreed with Amiens, I remember reading the other day from some Brentford fans that all the paperwork etc has been completed . This is probably why Saman was not in the squad as to make sure he doesn’t get injured. Supposedly he is really behind the move (as he was last year).
Palace are the favourites for Benrahma but Zaha has made it clear he wants to leave . Now Palace have just bought Eze from QPR, there is no way all three of them play in the same side . I think Palace are waiting for Zaha to get an offer and then will start the domino effect.

Samman is pretty versatile attacking player who can comfortably play in any of the front 3 roles..!
you'd think there is room/need for him in Brentford regardless of them suckering another EPL team into a lucrative offer to offload this Benrahma dude..??
If they really have serious promotion aspirations this season, you'd think that they keep both..? but i think they seem happy enough to play in championship and keep playing this lucrative buy cheap under radar talents and sell on for profit to higher up leagues... and if they got promoted then that's just a bonus..!!?

The money they can get for these guys is pretty damn good for Championship clubs that arent all that rich (definitely not poor by standards of other European leagues tho). By continuing this business model and eventually at some point getting promotion, they will have the finances to better maintain a stay in the PremOriginally posted by BacheLot View PostSamman is pretty versatile attacking player who can comfortably play in any of the front 3 roles..!

If they are looking for Saman as a direct replacement for Benrahma then if he was to stay there wouldn’t be room (at first) for him in the team. They have Mbuemo on one wing , Toney through the middle and the other position depends on the aforementioned situation.Originally posted by BacheLot View PostSamman is pretty versatile attacking player who can comfortably play in any of the front 3 roles..!

In behind they have Jensen and Norgaard with Emiliano usually coming on as sub and then the attacking wing backs.
