Safawi Rasid is on the way
          PORTIMONENSE 04-10-20 9:27
          By Jorge Anjinho
Striker Safawi Rasid is in transit to Portimão, having played the last game for Johor Darul Ta'zim on Friday, who announced on his official website that the player has already traveled to Portugal. The 23-year-old Malaysian international said goodbye to the previous team in the best way, scoring two goals in the victory (4-1) over Sabah.
Safawi Rasid is a true idol of Johor Darul Ta'zim and one of the great hopes of Malaysian football, having scored seven goals in six games since the championship resumed in August. In the last few hours, Portimonense's official Facebook page has been overrun with comments from Rasid fans, wishing good luck in this new adventure and a Malaysian television channel has already acquired the Portuguese League broadcasting rights.
After undergoing the usual medical examinations, Rasid will sign and be enrolled in the League, as will winger Jafar Salmani, an Iranian who played for Sanat Naft and who was already trained by Paulo Sérgio, in the 2018/2019 season, and who is also expected in Portimão before the market closed.

          Tabata reunites with former colleagues
Portimonense will try their first victory in the competition, after drawing 1-1 with Paços de Ferreira and losing 0-1 with Gil Vicente away. The Algarve can no longer count on Bruno Tabata , a player they transferred to Sporting this week.

In this reception to the lions, the coach Paulo Sérgio can already launch the Franco-Moroccan right-back Fahd Moufi, ex-Tondela, hired this week. Moufi is Portimonense's ninth reinforcement for the new season, joining goalkeeper Aflalo, defenders Lucas Tagliapietro and Maurício and forwards Safawi Rasid, Jafar Salmani, Júlio César, Welinton Jr. and Fabrício.

In Portimonense the Japanese Shuichi Gonda and defender Koki Anzai will be motivated for this match, after being called up for the selection of their country, for the friendly with Cameroon and Ivory Coast.

The SKN St. Pölten strengthens its squad one day before the transfer closes with another legionnaire. Reza Asadi is moving from the Iranian club Tractor FC to the Lower Austrians, where he will sign a contract until summer 2022.

In the " Kurier ", sports director Georg Zellhofer confirms the Iranian's commitment: "There were a lot of formalities and administrative procedures to deal with. Now everything is fine."

The 1.90-meter giant can be used in defensive midfield, but also in central defense. For the 24-year-old, the commitment in the Bundesliga is the first foreign stop in his career.

So he signed a extension in Iran but changed his mind and signed in the desert of Al Katar?

Anyone know anything about this kid and his potential? Just from a quick search I saw he’s only scored 4 goals in 50 matches for tractor as a striker which is pretty underwhelming. Wonder which Greek team it is

Why according to Majid Hosseini’s agent? Same agent? Perhaps same club?

yeah retarded way to put it by whoever wrote that.

They are represented by the same agency. The team was rumored to be Aris Thessaloniki previously (same team that wanted hajsafi).

Azadi actually has many characteristics that kind of remind me of azmoun (physically, good jump, good speed) but he is super raw and finishing is obviously never even 1/50th of what azmouns finishing abilities were which were visible for all to see from a young age. Anyways good luck to him but dount he will make tm.

It seems that the club is Panetolikos FC.

Portimonense highlighted in Asia with Gonda and Anzai in the selection of Japan

Alvinegros were the most represented in the eleven Japanese that faced Cameroon

The ownership of goalkeeper Gonda and right-back Anzai in the game between the teams of Japan and Cameroon (0-0), played on Friday, made Portimonense the most represented club in the first eleven of the Japanese, which it happened for the first time.

A fact that was widely highlighted in the Asian media, highlighting Portimonense's commitment, over the last few years, to the Japanese market, first with Kanazaki and Nakajima and now with Gonda and Anzai.
Portimonense and Portuguese football had abundant references in the Japanese press, with our championship arousing increasing curiosity in that part of the globe.

In addition to Japan, Portimonense is attentive to other Asian countries and even last season he counted on his staff the Iraqi international Mohanad Ali, while this season he hired Malaysian Safawi Rasid and in January the Iranian Salmani should arrive.

In the Japan team that played against Cameroon, only players served for European clubs: two from Portimonense and one from Bologna, Marseille, Zwolle, Sampdoria, Leganés, Hannover 96, Arminia Bielefeld, Liverpool and Werder Bremen.

                              Portimonense transfer stress

The end to the international transfer window in Portugal last week caused a degree of consternation in Portimão as a number of anticipated arrivals and departures failed to materialise.

It was expected that former captain Jadson would be on his way to Turkey, with fellow central defender Lucas Possignolo heading to France – both moves fell through, however, resulting in a last-minute squad registration for the former while the latter is still awaiting an offer from the Middle East, which remains open to signing players from Europe.

An agreement was also in place with Brazilian parent club São Paulo to retain the services of Junior Tavares, but a missing Covid-19 test prevented that deal, as well as the immediate acquisition of Luan from the same source, both players now expected in January. A similar fate befell Jafar Salmani, who will stay in Iran until the New Year due to bureaucratic difficulties.

More positive news concerns Malayan U-23 international Safawi Rasid, who finally arrived in the Algarve, as did 24-year-old Cameroon international Anatole Abang. The last named striker has enjoyed a ‘colourful’ career to date, starting with MLS side New York Red Bulls before representing Hobro (Denmark), SJK (Finland), Astra (Romania), Nantong Zhiyun (China) and most recently Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldavia, and will now join Portimonense’s forward line-up already featuring Fabrício, Beto and Ricardo Vaz Tê.

There has been some retrospective confusion concerning the earlier sale of Bruno Tabata, who had a €40 million release clause, to Sporting Lisbon. It has emerged that only €500,000 of the agreed €5 million fee was actually paid, with the Algarvians apparently retaining the right to 90% of any future transfer.

Finally, keeper Gonda and defender Anzai should return from international duty with Japan – both featured in friendly matches against Cameroon and the Ivory Coast – by the weekend when Portimonense travel to Madeira to resume league action against Marítimo on Saturday afternoon.
