Daei started the professional football at the age of 25. So if he could break that record, Azmoun can certainly do as well. But this will depend on many many circumstances. We will talk again in 10-12 years I guess LOL

Daei played almost all of his career matches the whole 90 min( because he had too much power), which is not the case of Azmoun.
Azmoun will become the 2nd best scorer in our history but I don't see him break Daei s record.

I hope Ronaldo gets it (I know he will). Ali Daei was a prolific scorer by Asian standards but that's it. He has 0 goals in 5 WC games; that's against teams like Angola, USA, and Mexico.

He can only score against whoever is in front of him.
I don't think we played 20 European teams with TM during Daei's whole career.

Azmoun definitely has a shot, but outside of competitions we rarely get FIFA sanctioned friendlies lined up which doesn't help I would assume

If Azmoun Plays for 10 more years and scores at least 8 goals in each year he can deffo break ali daei record. However i believe ronaldo can score 120+ goals until he retires.

Some stats:
On average iran plays about 14 games per year. However fifa is increasing those games .

10 years x 14 games = 140 games

Sardar playing in 110 of those games and scoring in 70% of those games he can break daeis record.

However if things doesnt get messed up , im pretty sure he will end up playing more than 160 caps and scoring more than 110 goals. However thats a BIG IF... if he doesn't get injured, If he don't lose it, If coach give him playing time etc...

he has 32 now, he can score against any one, if by next year he hit 50goals , and he is only 25, then by 30 he can score 100, providing he continue his scoring form and not be injured
