This was a team missing some KEY midfield players and a ON FORM striker in Taremi
Wilmots is still getting to know the players
Hosseini is going to be fixed for many years and HOPEFULLY PAG can be the other starter.
We need to get Ghoddos back and we also need to find a better role for Jahanbaksh.... because it seems like UNLESS he has a role like he did in his Dutch club, he can not fully play an effective game where his skills are best exploited.
IF the manager is NOT going to use his skills efficiently, he should sit on the bench.
Goals win matches (and clean sheets HELP win them by only ONE goal) ... it's a simple rule which worked great for Quieroz ....
We have very creative players who are not in the squad right now ... we will be fine.... right now, the point is to get 3 points when we play anyone in qualifying.
    And improve with each game.
Let the judging begin from game #2 .....

Sardar had seven shots on goal with four on target. His scoring average for TM is 0.61 (29 goals in 47 appearances). Daei's is 0.7. See below for more detail.

Yes, as KshraKhan and Iran_19 said earlier, Sardar was playing more like a CAM behind Karim and he did very well. The second goal started with him too. He was by far our best player and MOTM. He had 4 shots on target and I think six or seven on goal. He has really matured. His movements and touches on the ball were great.

    Go TM!

I do admit he could've been better though... It's almost like you have much higher expectations since he is a premier league player.
Yes there should be higher expectations because he is in the premier league otherwise he doesn't belong there.

With that said Wilmots tactics are made for ARJ to succeed. He has lots of attacking chances to make plays and score goals.

i still fail to see any discernible dimensions (offensive or defensive) wilmot has added to TM...! This was a real pathetic attempt at playing possession football or as someone else ealier called it TikiTaka passing
Wilmots starting choices and more importantly his substitutions in 2nd half left much more to be desired..!! he is yet to bring anything new to the table and has been super lucky to inherit a solid all around TM, and that has been his saving grace so far in terms of getting positive results..!
I suppose its still too early to fairly judge his abilities as a coach..? but sadly his commitment to the job so far, has also left much more to be desired too..!
hoping for markedly improved overall team performance in the tougher WCQing matchups coming up...!

This is what the domestic Branko fans wanted.

I was able to watch the first half only.

If we are going to attack mercilessly we need to move the ball a lot faster. If a team is going to park 8players behind the ball we need quick interchanges to break them. At times Azmoun was surrounded by 5 shirts with our other players doing little off the ball movement.

Good thing is Bahrain barely beat Cambodia. Group is our if we keep winning.

Keep Sardar, send the rest home. Get some fresh blood.
Team had no discipline. "Football e Tahajomi"..most meaningless term in football.

Jahanbaksh was really bad. He was almost invisble in the second half and save for his nice assist, he just seems to be invisible. It almost felt like watching one of his premier league games...I just don't understand why he's having such a hard time, I know he's got the skill and playing against HK isn't harder than playing agaisnt Dutch league teams...he should be doing much better.

Ramin should never be in another TM game. Not only are his touches poor but his reaction time is also really slow. Moreover, his theatrics when he gets fouled are extremely embarrassing.

Our defense is extremely unorganized....it's almost scary. A team like Uzbekistan or Korea could have easily scored on us in the second half.
