FT 1-0 porto. Wonder what the scoreline would have looked like if Taremi started. By the time he came on, Porto practically was parking the bus for 45 minutes straight. The one instance they opened up he managed to get in behind and score a world class finish, just barely ruled offside. Rio dominant in the second half but just couldnt get in past porto's first line of press.

I disagree i think they were forced into the crossing game for the last 25-30 minutes because porto was sitting so deep. Rio actually has some pretty nice buildup play and are good at retaining possession.

I think normally their passing game has been pretty impressive esp in sporting matches and others. But the pitch situation today made it very hard for anything but long balls to be the favored tactic.

honestly, without VAR, everybody would agree that it is level. In VAR there is offside technology that supposedly makes it a fact, but imo at some stage it just depends on accuracy of the technology as all have some degree of uncertainty.

His shoulder, which he can play the ball with legally, was maybe the part that took it a couple cm offsides. Arms are not considered bc you cant play ball with arms legally.
