You are right! As the saying goes: if it’s not broken, don’t fix it. He could have been a starter against Spartak Moscow today playing opposition like Andre Schürrle and Guus Till rather than being on the bench drawing in the EL against a Cypriot team and losing to a not very strong Belgian team. This move did not make sense as Gent’s left back is primarily their starter and captain for the team ( who does not preform badly for Gent and has been in the club since 2013).

The unfortunate problem is Mohammadi is the primary LB we have for Iran and if he doesn’t get playtime, this can create a problem.

At 33, Asare is playing at the highest level in his career right now but it is all down hill after this for him. It might take Milad some time to fit in with this squad. He has to stay patient and learn from the bench for now.

Decent from him so far, good control and not afraid to get forward into good positions. Had a dangerous chance earlier. A little static in buildup play though.

His crossing has always been one of his weaker traits to be fair, its his run and speed that get him in good positions for shorter passes like the one that was almost a pre assist

Hes getting in good positions but his crossing really needs some work, none of them have reached the target so far and a couple were waaay overhit. His control, passing, dribbling, speed, and defending are all positives but the big one is still his delivery which has been poor.
