By the way, gent are stepping up pre season preparation. Had a very intense friendly vs Zulte Waregem, lost 2-1 after conceding two goals in first 5 minutes, but dominated after that.

Milad had a very solid match and a wonderful assist for Yaremchuk. He nearly had another assist from cross that nearly became own goal.

He started the match and played until 60 when Gent brought on another forward.

I don't see all the transfer going through but just imagine :

    Azmoun (Arsenal) Taremi (porto)
    MehrMo (Saint Étienne) JB (Ajax)
    Hajsafi (Aris Thessaloniki)
    Milmo (Leeds United)
    Beiro (Antwerp)

The opportunity to play for a manager of that caliber is huge. Leeds has big ambitions to stick around in the EPL for more than a few years.
I personally feel more confident in them staying up than Brighton

milad would succeed in PL. He has the strength, speed, defensive solidity, and very low hashieh style. He has improved technically a lot this season and working with one of the best managers in the world without a doubt in Bielsa is too good an opportunity to pass up on.

Although, Gent are also a fantastic place to be this season as they will be showing themselves in CL, and are building a really competitive team where milad will be given ample minutes.

This would be an interesting move for Milad to play in the EPL. I personally would love it if they're giving him a starting role.

milad and nurio split halves again today in the 3-0 win over metz.

Dorsch made his debut (started second half with milad) and from highlights looked really good as well.

Yes, a lot of surprise in Germany about his signing. He had interest from a few Bundesliga sides in upper mid table.

I still think milad will be the starter. I've seen nurio play and he's not that good defensively.

Either way, like others have mentioned here, Gent's current system relies heavily on the fullbacks exerting absolute peak amounts of work with milad and castro montes asare etc expected to participate in defense and act as wingers in transition.

Plus, if they are participating in european comps again they will definitely need to rotate. Milad was literally benched for like the first half of the season and still almost played over 2000 minutes total.

hes been splitting halves with nurio, now splitting succesive matches.

It will be a battle for him, but he has been playing well judging from Gent twitter feed updates, game highlights. Hit the bar the other night vs brugge.

Regardless there will be many games and what we saw from Thorup last year, especially on the RB slot when he had 2 similar level players (milad took over LB spot undisputedly) was that he liked to rotate them a lot to keep them fresh as their is a huge emphasis on them in the 4-3-1-2 system to provide all the width and penetration in behind. I think we will see similar rotation with nurio and milad this year.

Makes sense bc last season Gent were a far way behind brugge in 2nd mainly due to dropping pts after europa league nights. If they are shooting for Title and good CL performance this year rotation will be important.
