as somebody mentioned with no gucci, kaveh never seeing the pitch its only a matter of time before mehrdad gets called up. Karim did move to QSL but I think wilmots still regards him as a solid experienced option who is willing runner with decent link up play (although I think he should be phased out). Good thing for mehrdad is that he is versatile and also able to play wing.

Iran will be aware of Mohammadi
The good performance of striker Mehrdad Mohammadi - scored a goal and was considered the man of the game - at Bessa Stadium against Boavista, raised the expectations of Aves fans and did not go unnoticed.
The 25-year-old already has a record with his national team, with three goals in four appearances at the U23 level, but if he keeps up this performance, he can open the doors of the national team, currently led by Belgian Marc Wilmots.

Statement by Desportivo das Aves coach Augusto Inácio in the CD Aves Stadium press room after a 3-1 win against Marítimo in matchday two of the League. After analyzing the game, the avenses coach also addressed players Enzo and Mohammadi individually:
[Mohammadi:] “In terms of movement, it was far from what I want. I could have taken better advantage of the releases. There are some misconceptions, I don't know if because of language. But we train. And what I don't like is that what we train doesn't come into play in the game. He has three moves in which he knew Welinton would enter between right-back and central and rarely put the ball there. It is a selfish player by nature. And it is not a criticism. Just see goal, just want to kick. But you have to learn to play as a team because you can score more goals. Tomorrow [Monday], will take in the head. But he is an interesting player, has a good left foot. On penalties I sometimes shiver, but I was quiet with him. It has a way of scoring incredible penalties. You lack more knowledge to yield more and be more visible than in today's game. »
