Oh gotta love Iranian parents and their helicopter parenting syndrome. The dude is a grown man, and hopefully he has a professional agent who will guide him with his decision.

Honestly, Azmoun seems like one of those dudes who if he didn't have his parents around, would be bankrupt and 6 times divorced by now.

literally. The guy kept azmoun grounded and with his oversight sardar became the best iranian football player of his generation. Now he is gathering interest from top clubs. I actually read sardar's dad initially preferred england but now prefers napoli. At any rate he like any father deserves to have a say in their sons future, especially after putting his life on hold to go raise his kid in russia! The guy was a volleyball star in gonbad, by no means needed to spend years and years in places like kazan and rostov (many players parents dont) but he did and it has paid off. For that he deserves respect.

Not being "fond of Italian clubs" is a moronic notion. He is excluding many good clubs that his son could play for. Waiting and waiting for the "right" call could have him miss his opportunity. At some point he will need to make an educated, thought-out decision and transfer. Unless he decides to spend his whole career in Zenit/Russia.

so based on one line that an italian outlet gave, with no further detail, we are supposed to believe the guy will block all moves to italy? LOL, come on. Reality is azmoun has an agent with more connections to napoli than anybody else, if azmouns dad was so against an italian move he wouldnt have hired him to manage his son. Maybe the guy does prefer his kid plays in england, so what? If the right offer doesnt come from there he wont force his son there over a team like napoli.

My concern about napoli is that they may opt for a more experienced CF if they can get one.

I can tell you as an arsenal fan us moving for azmoun is really unlikely. First of all we have aubameyang, lacazette who are two world class strikers and martinelli who should be starting in my opinion, in addition to nketiah who arteta really likes. If we were two sell one of the first two the funds would be redirected to biggest areas of concern in our team, and martinelli would probably just be promoted to permanent starter.

Iranian helicopter dad, who at one point had Berdyev make all decisions related to Azmoun's career. With the mentality of "maybe the guy prefers his kid playing in England", he might end up warming the bench in a team while he could've been a starter in another team. My point is his dad shouldn't be the sole decision maker, or which team will give him the biggest paycheck.

I think he will end up in England.

All I am saying is we shouldnt jump to conclusions. A personal preference if you were given to close to equivalent options is not the same as choosing west ham over napoli. You want to insult his dad or whatever, that is fine. I actually think they will be sure that he doesnt end up somehwere on the bench.

If his dad had such a fever for him to go to england he would have pushed through wolves transfer, or arsenal/liverpool transfers before that. Instead azmoun decided against those options every time, and in hindsight with good reason (he would not have played much at any of those clubs). So his own track record of picking clubs and rejecting english offers flies in the face of your logic.

Agree on the Arsenal comment, Arteta looks like he wants to bring the young players through. That’s how it was under Wenger and has been shown by him leaving Lacazette on the bench. Martinelli is some player

I think we will be on page 500 at least before the season starts again with the amount of rumours going around. So maybe he will get a transfer at page 1000.

A pretty reputable skill comps channel made a video on Azmoun

                              https://news.ru/football/kak-azmun-s...elyu-v-evrope/

this russian article gives a pretty good analysis of all of the teams mentioned. It was surprising to see how harsh some spanish media were on azmoun. The journalist called him great until he gets in front of goal and turns into 6 year old boy then, we certainly didnt see that vs : lyon, benfica, bayern, atletico madrid, anderlecht, fenerbahce, lokomotiv this season. high Prfoile games where he scored great 1v1s.
He is definitely not inferior to 5 goals all season luuk de jong, who in his spells in monchengladbach and newcastle was terrible and hardly scored.

                              "Napoli

The first talk about the interest in Azmuna from the Neapolitans appeared in early March. These conversations, which at first were not taken seriously by many, not only did not come to naught, but gradually began to unfold. So, the Italian journalist Nicolo Skira recently reported that Napoli is in contact with the environment of a 25-year-old striker and is ready to offer the Iranian a 5-year contract.

Neapolitans do not just so actively follow Serdar Azmun. The team needs to update the front line. Fernando Llorente (35 years old) and Dries Mertens (32 years old) are age-old players who, of course, will need a replacement in the near future. Moreover, the contract with the Belgian at Napoli expires this summer - Dries Mertens is very likely to leave the club as a free agent. Arkaduish Milak could become a rival to the Iranian, but he might also leave Napoli. Polish striker is interested in Juventus.

Obviously, in this situation, Serdar will not have problems with competition. He will receive enough playing time, and this is a big plus. In Spain, it will be more difficult in this regard.

                              Atletico

Team Diego Simeone is having a bad enough season this year. If we take the attacking actions, then the main pain of the Madrid team is the realization of the moments. Neither João Felix, acquired last summer for a lot of money, nor Diego Costa this season are far from stand out on the field. One has adaptation, the other has injuries. Even Morata began to score against their background, although the Spaniard prescribed slightly different functions on the field.

Azmun can be useful in the penalty area and with high-speed counterattacks. However, the implementation problems that the forward himself is experiencing can become a real obstacle for him. It would be hard for an Iranian to put an expensive Felix or a key player in the current Atletico Costa system on the bank, and with the existing problem, this task risks remaining completely impossible.

                              Sevilla

The “Seville” is also not the best way things are with the attack. Purchased in 2019, the Mexican Chicharito moved to the Los Angeles Galaxy. Luke de Jong's other forward shows an outstanding game. Perhaps due to age. However, the journalist of the Spanish news agency EFE, Jose Ignacio Ortega, believes that even under such difficult circumstances for both teams, Azmun is not a football player who can strengthen their squads.

I don’t see that Azmun is ready to play in the Spanish championship. " Seville " and " Atletico "- these are strong teams. Iranian does not reach their level. In a season, one and a half - maybe, but now - no. Yes, he grew up as a player recently at Zenit. If he had not left Rubin, he would have remained nothing. He and Dziuba became a great tandem. He has good speed, he plays well with his head, but the biggest problem is that when he gets the ball and turns out to be one on one with the goalkeeper, he turns into a six-year-old boy. He is very afraid, does not know what to do at such moments with the ball. Therefore, the percentage of sales is low. If in the Spanish championship you will not score more than two or three times, then you can forget about the game. Serdar better stay in St. Petersburg , - said Ortega NEWS.ru

Also, the Spanish journalist drew attention to the fact that the financial difficulties that everyone will face because of the coronavirus will only worsen the situation with the transfer.

Where will Atlético and Sevilla have money to buy a player who, although not hyper-prone, but, being a Zenit footballer, has a rather big salary. To give decent money for a player with dubious prospects is now very risky , the journalist concluded.

                              West Ham

To say that West Ham needs a striker is to say nothing. Sebastian Aller spends a terrible season - seven goals and one assist in 27 matches. Due to the lack of forwards, often head coach David Moyes has to pair winger Michael Antonio with Aller. Naturally, in such a situation, Azmun would greatly help the "hammer threshers." A place in the starting lineup would be provided for him. However, will Serdar Azmun exchange Zenit, who plays in the Champions League, with an outsider in the English championship? The answer seems obvious. No.

                              Leicester

Leicester, who's having a great time this season, also needs a striker. Yes, Vardi this season again demonstrates a good game: scores goals (19), gives passes (4). However, there are questions regarding the other attackers. Agios Perez is a good football player, but he has slightly different functions on the field. Perhaps that is why he is not so productive (seven goals in a season). But Kelechi Iheanacho was a real disappointment for the team.

However, no one gives a guarantee that Azmun will look preferable to a Spaniard or even a Nigerian. Therefore, circumstances may arise so that the Iranian is on the bench. But if he can catch on and adapt to the team’s playing style, then England, of course, will become a wonderful arena for Azmuna.

^he has missed a large number of easy 1v1s..!! a while back he was on a roll on that front...!! probably the writer seen too many of them and referring to them..!!
we argued the reasons for it here many times, imo, it boiled down mostly to his lack of concentration occasionally nonchalant attacking approach .... as in trying to look calm or not taking certain opponents serious enough .... hence annoyingly pissing away easy chances against them ..!!

what he needs improvement the most is the more refined technical skills to unsettle and beat his immediate marker off of dribble .....! especially if the marker is a physical and stout defender and right in his face as soon as he get possession and crowds him and sardar doesnt have nether a team-mate nearby to Combine his way outa that trouble or If he isnt afforded the space to kick the ball forward and try to use his explosive Pace to get by him..!!
