Hope he’ll tear it up in the next coming months. Also the Leagues going to be crazy the next coming weeks 6 teams are all neck to neck
July-December : 14 goals
March-May : 30 goals

he played well first half.....second half ...meh ... think got a knock to his calf and was laboring hence subbed out.
service to him was piss poor once again and Zenit struggled once again connecting passes and holding any sorta possession in MF.. but it was a tough, highly physical slug-fest of a match.
in second half zenit pretty much pulled back and just played counter attacking football ....
he is still a bit too nonchalant and sloppy in possession and i just dont sense enough of a scoring zeal and intent from him in attacks as its necessary, to get on scoreboard in such challenging fixtures..... needs to step it up a bit on that front if he wants to have standout performances at CL..

Interesting interview with Sardar. Here is a summary of his remarks:
- Zenit might be in an easier CL group compared to others but it is tough for Zenit. He emphasizes that Zenit head coach has warned them about Leipzig because it is a very disciplined team. Sardar says that Leon and Benfica are strong teams with a lot of history and he scored against Benfica when TM had a friendly with them several years ago (I don't remember that).
- On his lack of scoring and Zenit's performance he says the main thing is how the team does and the coaching staff is satisfied with his performance and the season is still young and there are new players on the team.
- About Malcom he says that he could really help the team and the atmosphere of Zenit is very welcoming to new players and that's how he felt when he started.
- On TM and Wilmots he says he has not worked with him but Wilmots is known as a great coach and he has the potential to become a favorite head coach in Iran.
- He has a lot of praise for Taremi's performance in Portugal and he says that Mehdi's focus should be on his overall success rather than winning the golden boot.
Go Sardar!

I like that response from Sardar, aim number one is that the team get there three points and if his overall play contributes to that then even better.
Goals will come, there has always been a lot of low scoring games in Russia. If a striker gets into double figures in Russia then they have had a good season and I’m confident that Sardar will do this.
