How is life like in Dubai? How is the Iranian community there?

I've always been fascinated with life in Dubai. It's basically what Iran should've been had we had our previous regime.

We have a mediocre Iranian community here with a very few Iranian gathering hubs. There is an Iranian club (sports & activities), an Iranian hospital, mosque, couple of Iranian schools, flea market and restaurants. No Persian nightclub exists as per what I know, however there are events such as Persian Nights and Bong Events that handle a lot of Iranian artist concerts within clubs.

I lived in Dubai for 13 years and have many friends and relatives who still live there. At least 10-15 (non-Emirati) friends in Dubai have supported Qatar in this game on their social media. Guess they should all be in jail right now right? Lol.

I’m surprisingly sensitive to criticism of the UAE because you want to assert your opinion down my throat. If I had a different location on my bio while I was trying to prove a point that a 2 year old article does NOT MENTION A WORD ABOUT A 15 YEAR IMPRISONMENT FOR SUPPORTING QATARI NATIONAL TEAM DURING THE AFC would I still be reading this? Would your comments still be irrational? I am an Iranian who lives in Dubai and I am well versed with the laws of this country because I am aware of what comes up on my news feed. And I must say, supporting Qatar was not mentioned as a criminal offense.

I have nothing in my heart for Arabs and neither do I have anything against them, but advise from me to you (and to the other guy arguing the same thing earlier) it’s good to use your brain sometimes as a non biased person. Trust.

That article was written two years ago, and like I mentioned that news was stated with regards to the deportation of Qataris from the UAE.

That article has nothing to do with the AFC or the UAE game against Qatar. Qataris are not even allowed to enter UAE.

Any "written, verbal or visual" form of support for Qatar is punishable by a 15-year sentence. I don't know how that's applied (e.g. if a Qatari fan tweets a "Go Qatar" tweet in the stands, is that illegal? If a Qatari fan screams "Go Qatar" in the stands, is that illegal?"). The point is that the arbitrary nature of the UAE's legal system has had a chilling effect on Qatari fans' ability to support their team for fear of criminal punishment.

I can give you two arguments that could help you support Qatar over Japan:
1) If Japan wins, they will have 5 AC-Titles, which means two more than us and will be truly the King of Asia in that sense.
2)If an underdog wins it all(before the start of the Tournament Qatar was a underdog to win the AC), that somehow overshadow our lost to Japan ( and the lost of other Powerhouses)
Only bad thing is, that Almoez Ali scored and broke Daeis record yet (?)

They're not a true national team.
