Guys, don't lose it on VAR... the result would have been the same without it.

The system definitely needs improvement... rather than the main ref. making the final call, the call should be made by a group of maybe 3 to 5 ref's in the VAR room IMHO. And those discussion in the VAR room should be transparent (i.e. published after the match).

That's the only way you're going to reduce human error/bias in the decision, otherwise we have what we have now or what happened in the WC.

They aren't pressing at all in the 2nd half though... the experience and professionalism of the teams didn't change at half time but clearly something is very different. Maybe mental, maybe tactical?

Their pressing and counters made Japan sit back a little bit in the 1st half and now they're comfortable moving up the whole team.

The Vietnamese player cleared the ball first but as he moved his feet after, he appeared to have tripped the Japanese player, from first angle it seemed to be a right call.
But I think last clip showed he didn't (from a different angle and that it was part of his continued movement)

It was more of make up call for denying Japan an earlier VAR goal decision..!
Defender clearly got to the ball & even deflected it off of the onrushing japaniese attacker & only the follow through caught the Japanese guy & brought him down in the box ..!
