Pro that quote is so cruel on Amiri. The amount of defensive utility he provides is ridiculous, especially with the spread of play we have. I wish I could find a heat map, but the man holds down that left side like his life depends on it. I remember at around the 80th minute, I had my mom who was watching the game with me just watch Amiri for a bit to see how much ground he covers at high intensity and she was so impressed. Sure, his creativity and technical ability aren’t top notch and he does have a tendency to build up fouls and cards but he is such a useful player to have.

We set he record for clean sheets in WCQ games, almost topped the group of death in the World Cup, have so many players in Europe, a completely united team, scored 9 goals so far and not conceded a goal and barely gave away chances.
