Man of the match for me is Beiranvand. Without the penalty save, the game would have been vastly different because Oman would have parked the bus for the remainder of the game and scoring would have been much more difficult. That save ensured an open game. Damet garm Beiro.

I don't expect CQ to replace Taremi and Azmoun because, although they didn't take their chances today, they still get the combination play to generate them. Azmoun is basically our best central defender when we concede free kicks and corners too with his heading.

Cheshmi I really liked for the few minutes he was in. If he isn't in a centre defence position he is a good player

Milmo was good i thought again defensively he needs to start next game.

Beiro and Ashkan were sublime.

Amiri will be a big miss for me - the guy runs a lot, covers ground that other players just can't.

Milad just like Hosseini wasn't solid man. Very poor game. Most of Oman's attacks come from his side.

I thought Milad was fantastic in the Iraq game too. He was the third best performer.

I wonder if I'm watching a different game to people who criticise him during both games - what exactly do you want him to do?

He even won his aerial battles very convincingly today. But his defensive positioning and movement was always very good

Majid Hosseini on the other hand is a different matter, I'm really worried about him...
