Many thanks to the Mods for allowing me to make these threads in the main Football Forum over the course of the tournament. Here, we'll be able to watch and discuss all the non-Iran matches together. I'll be making a new thread each day to cover the various (non-Iran) matches. Enjoy!

I want Bahrain to win because over half the Bahrain population is of Persian descent. Bahrain=Iran for me in this match.

You can’t spell Bahrain without “Iran”.

Thanks for creating these thread Mr. K Nadar.

UAE has had a much better preparation for Asian Cup than Bahrain but they haven't been all that consistent and are missing their star player. Bahrain on the other hand has a relatively a young team and has shown to be capable of scoring goals. I would say it will be a close game but UAE having home advantage would probably have a higher chance to win.

Persians don't wave the Saudi flag in a match between Iran and Bahrain.

That still doesn’t dismiss the fact that their people and some of their players are of Persian descent. Wether they like it or not, they have Persian blood in them. (Even if they hate their ancestry)

Exactly, all this Persian descent b.s. is just that - B.S.

The Persians of Bahrain are repressed and the government is run by inbred cousins of the Saudis.
Can't cheer for them. Most of their Persians cheer for TM anyways.
