I just see the one of him holding the flag which could’ve been taken on a prior visit. Clearly it’s not recent as he is in the middle of TM camp in the UAE.

I know it’s a tinfoil hat theory but I’d still be shocked if there was actual substance to that rumor. If it’s true then man is that shit news.

Fair enough. Although I don't recall him ever having a reason to hold a tractor scarf...I mean has there ever been past negotiations, is he even a tractor fan? As a professional footballer doing these kind of photo ops seems like a no no...hope this is no more than Saman Ghoddos and Huesca 2.0!

I admit he is a bacheh naneh etc... but from pure football talent i consider him the most intrinsically gifted player we have had since perhaps Karimi (actually I think he has more world class traits than him).

I'm just talking about the combination of his skill with both feet, aerial ability and heading, anticipation (his runs and off-the-ball play), acceleration and quite a few other traits he has.

Having said that he has really stagnated as I haven't seen these traits really been built on over the last 2-3 years.

He is no way near my favourite player - I prefer Ghoddos and JB more and my own personal favourite is Milmo, but I have to admit I feel Azmoun is at a different level to them in terms of the gifts bestowed upon him by God/Allah/Flying Spag Monster.

Agha with my respect as always, I disagree with you here.

I think in comparison with other previous iranian forwards with lots of goals, Azmoun has scored in the games which have had the lowest scoring margins and his has been the winning goal.

His first three games he scored the only (and winning) goal against South Korea, Iraq and Qatar. Even his two goals against Guam is really different to the multiple goals that eg Bagheri and Daei used to put in against Maldives and Guam. The key point is that international football gaps are much narrower now and the minnows are much stronger than before. The Maldives team that we beat 17-0 in 1997 improved to the extent that they could draw against teams like Australia and Korea over the following decade.

The 11 goals out of his 24 that he has scored in friendlies aren't exactly walkovers: South Korea, Russia, Iraq, Montenegro, Macedonia, Algeria. I guess just Qatar and Kyrgyzystan can be considered definitively weaker than us.

Even if you are entirely correct and his stats are poor, surely he has been a more clinical forward overall than the others of recent eras?

Almost half of his goals are in Friendlies. Look at those countries. Even if they had their A lineup it's debatable that they are on par with TM. Now look at those teams lineups during those friendlies...you will see it was not their best and Azmoun's primary role is to score goals. Azmoun may be better than the rest of our current strikers (debatable) but none of our current pure strikers are actually that great. I mean we only scored 1 on Palestine...

That picture is old.

Azmouns eye is so scarred that you he looks like a zombie at the moment, and in the picture with the scarf there is no such scarring around his eye.

I highly doubt this happens, we hear BS rumours like this all the time.

Also, there is no way in hell tractor has the 10 million or so Euros needed for Azmouns transfer fee, so forget it and calm down.

Berdiev has said that the asking price for Azmoun is $15 mil. That would be equal to 150 billion tomans with the current transfer rate. For that sum of money the Tractor owner can but every team in the PGL, twice. There is no way this move is real, just clickbait.

Well then very dumb move by Azmoun to agree to stand with Tractor scarf and take a pic. He is a TM player and not tied to any IPL team. Or for all we know some sort of tentative deal was struck during the visit 2 months ago?

I don't think crummy let alone half decent Euro teams are worried about competing for players with Tractor. Sardar would have better luck putting out a Photoshop of himself in a Crystal palace kit than anything Tractor related.
