Actually quite an entertaining and fast paced game - especially considering it's Asian teams.
Ghafouri looks a bit slower than the rest of the team. Carlos probably believes he can do it vs. Asian opponents, but not against European and World Cup ones, that's why he was left off.
Gholizadeh just missed a sitter! He should have scored that.

Not the worst friendly so far.
Ghafouri has struggled quite a bit.
Need better touches up front.
JB has to go all the way back to our own 18 yrd line to get possession.
Need to be much more clinical upfront.
Uzbekistan physical as always. This team has been playing the same way for 15 years now. Doesn't matter who the coach or players are.

Our wing movement is not bad but not enough men inside the box when the ball comes in. This is where Taremi doubling up with Central striker is missing. The whole team is post-WC rusty. I expect a better performance from TM,with Uzbeks coming out of their shell. FFS you are playing at home man!sigpic

Jesus. Ghafouri should not be anywhere near TM. He is out of position every time, fucking over our CBs, giving dangerous passes, now is totally gassed and stopped overlapping. Moharrami please!
PAG is out of shape. Maybe not physically but in terms of match fitness. This game will help him.
Milad looks good.
Abezadeh looks good, but not at Beiras level. Made some good plays but still shaky on high balls.
Dejagah is too slow. If this guy starts another game over ghoddos...
Gholizadeh is too one footed and isnt a good finisher/bad decisions/ nothing on defense. Taremi needs to start.
Karims link up play is lame at CF as always for TM. Cant hold it up.
We need from now on :
-----------------Beira------------
Moharrami---PAg---Majid----Milad
---------------Ezatolahi------------
----Ghoddos-------------Amiri-----
ARJ------------Kaveh----------Taremi
This current lineup doesnt create enough chances. However, uzbekistan have been good and overall a very solid test.

Matched a strong Uzbek side in their own backyard but it's not been good at all.
Defensively it would help if we had an RB functioning in his role. Vouria putting in a turgid 45 mins there.
Attacking-wise, the midfield three aren't supporting the front three on transitions well enough. Ashkan can be forgiven as his legs aren't built for that and he still comes out with some of our best moments thanks to his disgusting technique and all in all it wouldn't be an issue if the front three could work together but their movement is all wrong.
