I have heard/seen people bad mouthing him perhaps because of the events at the end of his footballing career and I have misconstrued that as attacks on him as a person. He is the only player to score 100 international goals at 109 yet people criticize him. Iranians should be proud of him and take pride that he is the international leader. Should Ronaldo break his record, you’ll see how much importance this will have on the Portuguese people. Yet all most Iranians do is complain. At least he fought for TM day in and day out.
