This is a 34 and 31 year old Shojaei and Dejagah, who are coming off injuries and major wear and tear in their bodies. The form Masoud has been in recently, I would rate most PGPL starting CAM's over him.

And although we all know Dejagah is another level, how much can he really contribute? This guy has played like what, 5 games over the last 2 years? lol

That being said, I expect one of Harry Forrester or Stokes to bang in a decent amount of goals.

My PGPL Prediction:

1) Persepolis

2) Saipa

3) Esteghlal

4) Zob Ahan

5) Tractor

both can raise the level of the IPL, but It remains to be seen how well Toshack can play them in his system.

It can go either way for them. I hope they can transfer some of their experience to the young local talents.

The big concern is that this club is spending money on all these players instead of developing the their grasroots. Azarbayjan is a big pool of talents and has always fed TM with great players especially in 90s.

I would be surprised if SS and ZA finish in the top 4 after both losing so many important players. The only thing they got going for them is they’re both well coached for PGL standards but a coach can only do so much when half your starting XI just vanishes.
