In 2002 one of the greatest shocks in World Cup history happened when on (I think) the opening day Senegal (in their World Cup debut) beat France (World and European champions at the time). France were eventually knocked out at the group stage without even scoring a goal.
This is why I said in 2004 European teams such as France were poor, because they had been knocked out by Senegal.

Senegal is strong they defeat even Poland yesterday. Japan WON Colombia very beautiful i had not expect that!

Football is a teamwork. That is the main ethos of Spain. You can see that very clearly from the way they play. Spanish players look great because they work together and feed each other. When you work as a team every player in that team looks great. Every team can be as good or even better much better than Spain. They need to gel together and work as a team.

That is Senegal 2018. France v Senegal 2002 was massively different. World and European champions beaten by African nobodies making their debut.

On another note, did CQ say in yesterday’s presser if we don’t make it to next stage we will be focusing on the Asian Cup? Does that mean his staying till after the Asian cup?

So that is what you are hoping? no worries of course you are entitled to that. But some of us here believe this team has what it takes to cause some problems for the most favoured team to win the cup. Let's see what happens.
