Amiri as defender makes no sense in a match with 20-30% ball possession for iran. we almost tied argentina because we played extremely defensive with heydari and hajsafi as our wingers and Montazeri as wing back

Majid Hosseini was excellent in the 10 min that he played against Morocco. 100% he will start with Cheshmi being out.

And with those saying it will be khanzadeh or montazeri, that's improbable because when ebrahimi needed to get subbed and CQ brought in Hosseini to play CB and pushed Cheshmi to CDM it shows that he has more faith in Hosseini and that he's his first choice after Cheshmi. Not montazeri or khanzadeh
