You keep on missing the point. There was no VAR in any of the examples you posted, including the Champions League. This World Cup will have VAR. Its going to be very difficult for anyone to cheat at all. Football's changed since then.

The ref had a good okay day , and i don't think he needed to do anything for russia since they were already winning but at least 2 yellow cards was not given. specially when the russian guy kicked the saudi guy. I wonder if russia was down by 1 goal what would the ref do. most probably call all the 50 - 50 % chances or even 60-40% chances in favor of russia. VAT is only used for big decisions .
