LMAO. Grandpa Hosseini? He has been the heart of our defence for more than a decade or so, and suddenly a guy like Khanzadeh from a relegation team like Padideh gets to replace him for the World Cup? I don't know what you guys are thinking but CQ is on some serious and strong drugs. A disrespectful act to a player who has served TM well for so long. Our defense will collapse without his presence. It already did every time when Hosseini didn't play.

I actually don't think it's Khanzadeh replacing Hosseini but it's Majid Hosseini from Esteghlal.Originally posted by Kiarash View PostLMAO. Grandpa Hosseini? He had a great game yesterday and played very maturely despite being only 21. If he can continue to play like that alongside Pouraliganji, we're not just saved in the WC, we have sealed a great CD couple for years to come. Not the least a great experienced CD in the following AC. Let's cross our fingers.

The only positive thing from this list is that CQ is using many offensive players - means that we will go to Russia wanting to score.Originally posted by Tehranto View PostToo many holes in the midfield, defense and goalkeeper. We are way too over-confident in our offensive lineup.

In 2014, we only took two strikers (Ansarifard and Gucci).

Maybe he's lost his mind and is taking players that will embarrass us at the World Cup. Maybe CQ is old and his brain isn't as sharp anymore. Maybe we are completely screwed to not take our best defender and general, Hosseini. Maybe we are on our way to be the laughing stock of the WC. Maybe all that is true but maybe not..Originally posted by Kiarash View PostLMAO. Grandpa Hosseini? One thing you have to give him credit for he has Baaaalllzz. The easy thing to do was to include hosseini and rezaie in the list, he chose to do the more difficult thing for TM. In my experience I've always had more respect for ppl that do what's not easy and go against the tide. I'm betting on him!!

I understand peoples opinions but do you really think at the End Jalal Hosseini or Kaveh Rezaei will make Iran go to second round or not ?
I am also dissapointed that a guy like Kaveh Rezaei didnt make it, even Ghaffouri and some others but at the End ..........okay, somehow too many offensiv players looks like CQ wants to go to the second round

I have a guess. Taj said in an interview the team we will see against Turkey looks like our team in world cup with a little difference. This list has 24 members.
I think Amiri will leave. Torabi, Khanzadeh, Gholizadeh has been with CQ in training so they have learned what they should know. From the stand by list some players will be changed and TM enters the world cup different than in WCQ. If they have been using their time to analyse Iran they will be surprised.

TM list
CQ knows what he is doing,
I bet you anything, ghafouri and jalal hosseini and kaveh rezaie will be back , this is some wake up call game he is playing with the other players
CQ is the smartest fox I have seen in football
Gholi zadeh, khanzadeh, mohamad hosseini, ebrahimi will be crossed off
چو ایران نباشد تن من مباد

You're right, its CQ fault. Its not because we are drawn against the WC Champions of 2010 and European Champions of 2008/2012 and Portugal European Champion 2016 or the fault of our fucking FederationOriginally posted by Kiarash View PostIf we fail to get points this World Cup, CQ’s shitass player selection is 100% to blame.
Did he miss yesterdays game? Gucci couldn’t even force anything against Uzbekistan U-23! How is he going to do against Morocco? And Ebrahimi as a DM with his size? God have mercy for us...not even going to talk about a guy from PADIDEH he’s taking to the World Cup.

I know man. You are completely right. It's very weird that we drop 2 defenders when we play 4-2-3-1. and the defenders we drop are 2 of our top top ones. It just doesn't make sense no matter how you try to make sense of it all. but again.... CQ is the only one who knows how to deal with Spain and Portugal. It seems like he's made a huge risk here. If he prevails, he'll be the unforgettable hero, if not, he probably wont come back to Iran after the WC is over (a la Branko).Originally posted by _Navid_ View PostWorld cup is not the place for this BS idea of taking the youth to get experience. It is the stage to get the results. Every other team in the world will field its best 11 no matter what age they are in.
Having said that, I remember he made such a risk in the last WC with Reza Haghighi as CDM. and IMO, he was the reason we lost to Argentina. He was subbed with Haji Safi in the left who had successfully cancelled out Messi for almost 90 minutes. A few minutes later, Messi scored the winner. I hope this time, the risk he's taken will have a better turn out.

Costa Rica topped the group with Italy (World Cup 2006 winner), England (European power house) and Uruguay (World Cup 2010 semi-finalists).Originally posted by ferdyf View PostYou're right, its CQ fault.
