I can't believe some of these players are considered WC level. I hope we learned what we needed today and see a WC level game form Turkey and Greece.
Turkey and Greece are average at best. I'm part Turkish and our NT is trash atm. We had a terrible WCQ campaign.

We (Egypt) lost 0-1 to Greece recently with a bunch of fringe players that won't even make the final 23 going to Russia. 3-4 of those players made their debuts and will probably not earn another cap. Greece played majority of their first team and we still should have won considering we missed 3 pathetic 1v1s with the keeper.

Make sure you lot prepare well for Morocco. They're easily better than both Greece and Turkey.

again you are missing the point. we did not play with our C team, this was A team and half of those players will be playing in WC. now you wanna be in denial, that's up to you. I"m just hoping they can perform better in WC.

You do that against spain, you will be punished bad. I just hope they can sustain physically for three consecutive games.

On the other note, I'm just dying to see one TM game, only one, that they can pass nicely without getting a headache.

i dont agree, his game IQ is actually not bad at all..!! his execution (especially defensively) leaves some to be desired but he often has the right ideas ..!!
i think what makes him look bad is the "square peg round hole" situation trying to fit in CQ's system of play..!
he probably doesnt have the Class yet to compete at WC levels but shows the potential for it to me.

how old is this guy anyways..? if he spend a couple of seasons in Europe he could develop into a good MFdr for us, if not already aged out..?

I agree. I was shocked by what I have seen today, our bench players are not even remotely good enough to battle against Morocco, let alone Spain and Portugal. They had a hard time scoring goals on Uzbekistan U-23 for gods sake.

The thing I am worried about is that we are going to rely on probably a group of 11, max 13/14 players who will play most of our World Cup games since there is not better alternative. And that might be fatal because of fatigue. I'd be very stressed if I was CQ with our lack of depth

One thing I concluded from todays game, gucci doesnt deserve to go to the wc he was really really aweful he hasnt been in form all season, maybe its cuz he is a father now and less focused, he already has a wc goal under his belt now others deserve a chance.
