The polish league has actually gotten better. A different team, Legia Warsaw, managed a tie with Real Madrid last year, putting three past them in a 3-3 at home. They also finished third in a CL group above Sporting Lisbon. They're above Sweden in the co-efficient ranking actually...

            Mehdi Bayat on Noorafkan:

"The arrival of the Iranian winger launches the zebra mercato. Noorafkan will follow next week. The Bruno file is complicated.

It has become a habit: it's a tweet from Mehdi Bayat who announced the first carolo transfer of the summer. The Iranian international winger of 22 years, Ali Gholizadeh (who is currently preparing the World Cup with his selection), has committed for two seasons (+ 2 optional) with Sporting Charleroi. Libre, the promising left-handed man who was playing in Saipa (Iranian D1) and for whom Charleroi spent about 300,000 euros in training allowances, therefore launched the Carolo transfer window. Which should accelerate during the month of June. We take stock of the hot issues.

Noorafkan will follow. We announce it for several days: Ali Gholizadeh will not be the only Iranian to sign at Sporting this summer. Omid Noorafkan, the versatile median of Estheghlal Tehran (where Kaveh Rezaei was evolving) is expected to engage with the Zebras in the coming days. Charleroi, who already has a personal agreement with the 21-year-old, has indeed pledged to pay his release clause (250,000 €). All that's missing is the official photo to talk about him as a Charleroi player."

I am not sure Poland or Croatia are great leagues for foreigners. Both Sadegh Moharami and Ahmadzadeh will end up coming back to Iran with their tails in their hands like Karimi did. hope I am wrong.

Is Mohrammi confirmed to Dinamo Zagreb yet?

Transfer window is officially open in the top leagues. Any of our players making moves pre World Cup (Jahanbakhsh mentioned he hopes to do so) should be doing so within the next week or so.

Don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but we have seen the past 48 hours, nothing goes Iran/Team Melli's way .

Yup - so glad. We need more midfielders in Europe! As well as central defenders ...

I am concerned that assessing club transfers at this sensitive time may distract our players from WC preparation.
