Noorafkan is better than aghaei, has more experience in ACL/high profile matches, and can also play CDM. Beita just doesnt have any chemistry with TM in the last 4 years, makes no sense for him to come in now at the most crucial stage, unless he insanely good in friendlies.
I think Hajsafi will be taken as the left back No 2, but we'll see. You're right about Noorafkan.

Personally, I think he's rewarding Steven's amazing season last year and his continued form this year. With an in form Rezaeian, Ghafouri, Moharrami, and Beitashour, we look pretty good for the RB position!

    Hope Steven impresses!
This is going to suck because I wanted to go see him IRL when he came to Dallas, but I guess this is for the better :|

I dont think majid hosseini or khanzadeh will make it. With Montazeri, PAG, Jalal, Cheshmi that is already 4 center backs, and ezatolahi could play there in case of a major emergency.

Midfielders: Ezzatollahi, Shojaei, Ghoddos, Dejagah, Hajsafi, Amiri ,Karimi
Forwards: Ansarifard, Azmoun, Gucci, JB, Taremi, Rezaei

Possible changes: Amiri replaced with Gholizadeh or Torabi.... or dropping one of the forwards (most likely Kaveh) for an extra midfielder (very likely)
I agree with that list. Maybe hosseini for abedzadeh, and like you said maybe torabi or gholizadeh for Amiri ( But I really doubt that). I think Karimi will get called up instead of ebrahimi, and like you said one forward will probably be dropped for another defensive mid, so maybe ebrahimi will get in after all, unless Rafiei or Abdollahzadeh really impresses.

The wild card for me is Rafiei. He has the technical quality to be very valuable in midfield, but it depends on how physically ready and tenacious he is there on the defensive end. Im sure he will show his composure offensively.

I've just whipped it up quickly and I thought I'd run it by you guys to see if there are some glaring errors or mistakes I made, or if there is something I missed. Note, this isn't the full preview, just the 23 man squad and the starting 11. You can find the full preview when it gets posted on the subreddit very soon.

Note: Kaveh Rezaei may be picked over ghoochannejad but unlikely given the particularl preference Quieroz has for the latter.
Here, I am not sure about Aghaei

    Potential Starting 11:

    Beirandvand
    Ghafoori Pouraliganji Hosseini Mohammadi
    Hajsafi Karimi/Ezatollahi

Important Note: Ezatollahi is the starter for the national team, but he is suspended for the first match due to a red card in a qualification match. He will miss the first game but will start against Portugal/Spain.
Thanks guys. This is not necessarily the lineups or selections that I want, but they are what I believe Quieroz will pick. I will consider the varying opinions you guys might have (such as Rezaeian over Ghafoori), but i'm mainly interested in glaring errors i've made, such as an injury that I am not aware of or a clear indication that one or more of those players will not be there.

since omid ebrahimi is injured we might take all 4 strikers, since kaveh can play further back and try to strengten the midfield with saman, ashkan and masoud. also any update on masoud injury?

When will our foreign based players come to the camp? Aren't the Dutch and the Greek and Qatar leagues over?

Heydari actually possessed much more poise and game intelligence to go along with his strong workrate in the run up to WC14, although i do agree the he got badly overwhelmed by the intensity and the pace of the play at WC and grossly under-performed vs Nigeria..! but to be fair Nigerians can always give scare to any opponent at WC with the high intensity and physicality of their approach to WC games and off course the maddening pace they play these games..!)
Amiri lacks even 50 percent of Heydari's poise and game intelligence on the ball... but he is certainly a bigger physical presence and his stamina and work-rate beats that of Haydari and off course he is the Only natural Left Footed winger we got ..! he looked damn promising during the last AC, but his game has seemingly badly regressed since ..! what i really liked about him was his insane Confidence he used to display on the pitch in taking on anyone he faced defending him and going right @ them not giving a fk who they were...! remember his mad dashes up the left wing vs Sweden !!?
i think he either he now feels too secure of his likely position in the CQ starting line-up ?? or by now, it has become a bit more clear to him that his weak overall Pedigree and Ceiling as an frequent International starter...?? either case his admirable Confident game approaches simply arent there and he isnt pushing himself and pressing the opponents with as much vigor and authority as he used to in his first features for TM..!

    Hossaini is a maybe
who would partner Hsafi in MF is still up in the air ?
Taremi seem to have a far better chance of starting games than Ghoddos and very likely to feature Many minutes.
and off course Dejagha will be coming off a 5-6 month serious injury layoff and unlikely to be a starter or a full time participant in any of our games ..!?

Ramin may well share equal minutes with Ghafoori at RWBack

id also guess that Ansarifard will get plenty of minutes? but probably more as winger/2ndary striker ?
Amiri is also very likely to feature heavily but i think his limited pedigree will get badly exposed after his likely start vs Morroco then he will be nailed to the bench for the remaining 2 games.
