Hamid Zarbaf @ Go Ahead Eagles | 2018

Since he moved to the Dutch second tier I think it is acceptable to open a thread for him. He has played in the Dutch lower leagues most of his career before this. 27 year old Centre back. Best of luck to him.

Dutch 2nd div is a mediocre league tbh, should be merged to Iranians in Europe Thread. TM isn't a beggar's football team. We can follow his progress there

I would generally agree but I don't mind this thread because GAE are actually a decent dutch team with most of their history in the Eredivisie. Plus hes not terribly old, hes only 27.

Under that logic, we should have never followed Jahanbaksh when he was playing for NEC in the second division a few years ago.
We are currently witnessing a revolution in Iranian football. Team Melli has never been stronger than it is today, and we will only get better.

Best of luck to him, he still has a chance to keep growing and move to the top tier. He is young for a CB.

Hamid is included in the matchday squad for Go Aheads match vs. FC Volendam on Sunday:

"On Sunday, Go Ahead Eagles, with newcomers Bruno Andrade and Hamid Zarbaf in the game selection, will be hunting for the second goal of the season. "Just like FC Volendam, we are going for nothing but profit," says Van Staa."

Cannavaro had a great career, nobody can deny that. But even he still goes to sleep every night knowing he was never as great as Hamid Zarbaf
