Alipour is another one just like Kaveh who need to move to Europe to be considered, otherwise with lots of traffic upfront i don't think he will be considered anytime soon. I mean at this point he is much better than Tabrizi and Ansari and he is only 21. Some of CQ new selections are questionable.

Persian Gulf Top Scorers:
BTW, who is:
Eisa Alekasir from Naft. How old is he? He scored six goals (without penalties) and in 6 different matches.
Ali Alipour earned a call-up in my eyes, despite being not the best in the most important matches recently.
Omid Singh (26), from Pars Jonoubi scored also 3 goals as middlefielder and played good matches. I think he deserved also a call-up and his age is also good. He is a key factor in his team and their current ranking.
Perspolis, Peykan and Pars Jonoubi had the best defense according to the goals they got scored. After this Sepidrood and Esteghlal.
I think Paykan and Pars Jonoubi should be analysed more (ranking 2, and 3, close to perspolis 1).World Cup 2006, Frankfurt, Iran vs. Portugal, Iranian Frontpage of GOAL Sportspaper

And on the 8.Day God created Ali Karimi, and he saw he was good!
If Defenders were allowed to use their hands to stop Karimi -

He's not indian . He has indian heritage but was born raised and grew up and trained in Iran . By your logic ghoddos wasn't good enough for Sweden because he was Iranian. Singh is far more exciting than somebody like amiri lolOriginally posted by PersianLegion View PostNow, you guys debate over calling an Indian guy to our national team? How low can we go down this path? Omid Singh is not even close to Iranian NT's level. He is good for Indian football level.

What logic? Look at the number of goals Ghoddos has scored in Swedish league and for their NT. Now compare it with this Omid Singh guy. You must be really tired to not see the difference.Originally posted by inarsenewetrust View PostHe's not indian . He has indian heritage but was born raised and grew up and trained in Iran . 1. Saman is fully Iranian and Swedish national.
2. He has been killing it in Swedish and Europa league
3. Sweden has no longer a person like Ibrahimovic
So yes Ghodos playing for Sweden is a lot different than this Omid guy. He is good for Iraqi NT level if you guys like to discuss. Move along. what is next... debate over calling Rabihkhah to NT?Last edited by PersianLegion; 11-01-2017, 07:45 PM.

He is Iranian who has one parent who is not Iranian, he is born & grew up in Iran, and now plays in the Iranian league. So if he is good enough he has the same right to play for Iran irrespective of where one of his parents comes from no matter how much prejudiced we are against the country of his father’s birth.Originally posted by PersianLegion View PostNow, you guys debate over calling an Indian guy to our national team? To clarify, I am not saying he should play for Iran but has the right to play without prejudice.
Further clarification - although my id is Omids I am not Omid Singh

listen Im not saying whether or not he is at the required level. I have watched limited highlights of the guy and no I dont think he would make TM squad ( but preliminary over esmaili or somebody like that I dont think is outlandish ). I am addressing your racist comment that " some Indian guy shouldnt play for TM " . He is Iranian, that was a disrepectful comment. Simple asOriginally posted by PersianLegion View PostWhat logic? Before labeling someone, think about these points
1. As far as I know only people whose father or both parents are Iranian can claim Iranian citizenship, but he has Indian father which means no Iranian passport.
2. Indians are not famous in football in any level so if he can do anything positive it should be on Indian NT level. He can be a legend for a billion people instead being nothing special for Iranians
3. Many Iranian players in IPL are already above this at best an average player. When we already have better players we don't need to bring dorageh players. At least if we were weak in a position and we had no replacement then I would say it is good to search for half Iranian out there maybe in a better league than IPL.
4. I consider it an insult to even talk about naturalizing any foreign player for Iranian NT even if the person is from Brazil.
5. The guy is not even close to TM level so yes. Absolutely not.
Please stop lame suggestions. Thank you.Last edited by PersianLegion; 11-01-2017, 08:04 PM.
