Didn't he play in one of the recent friendlies? I thought he did...The issue with Haghighi is that he still isn't playing much....If Beiranvand can fix some of his issues he will be the main goalie...he has been anywaysOriginally posted by Nokhodi View PostHe has 0 caps for TM. He seems ok, but we don't need a nervous goalie. Look what happened last time we put a inexperienced goalie in TM to start (Nakisa).

He is having several good games in a row. From the limited amount I have seen from him, he may be a contender. Not sure why he has not earned a cap yet.Originally posted by MR.ESTESNAII View PostForget all of them guys Hosseini is the man. You might be thinking of Mazaheri. Hosseini was invited to camp but he didn’t play any games.Originally posted by MR.ESTESNAII View PostDidn't he play in one of the recent friendlies? If you’re worried about a nervous goalie then the last person you’d want anywhere near TM is beiro. I haven’t seen someone who hesitates and makes more elementary mistakes since mirzapourOriginally posted by Nokhodi View PostHe has 0 caps for TM. He seems ok, but we don't need a nervous goalie. When he was playing for Malayan a few seasons ago he was one of the best in the league it’s good that he is getting more playing time now but he should still look to make a move somewhere where he will be the undisputed #1Originally posted by Kiarash View PostDamn this guy looks solid...Team Meli Iran

He's got 0 international experience. A few months before the WC is not a time to try out new players IMO. If he's to be invited, it should be after the WC!Originally posted by littlepersia17 View PostHosseini getting better by the week. World Class save against Sepahan.
Try him out CQ.
Right now, Beiranvand, Mazaheri, Abedzadeh and Haghighi have got international experience and are enough.

Not defending Hosseini as I know it’s ridiculous to start a GK who has insufficient international experience before the World Cup. But to his favor, Haghighi had played 6 matches before the World Cup and he started. I remember he was shaky in the first game but in the second game he played very well.
We also have to consider that Carlos trusts his players who play their football in Europe. Even though Davari was doing very well with his Bundesliga club, he was still lacking in a few departments (One notable one is speaking Farsi). Which led to CQ starting Haghighi. So we have to consider everything.
And Although Haghighi was trusted by CQ at that time, I don’t think Carlos will trust Hosseini to start in the World Cup. Especially at how far we’ve come and how much work they’ve put in this young team to comfortably qualify to Russia. However I do see Hosseini making the 3rd spot if he works hard and proves himself at the pre-World Cup Team Melli camps + in 1-2 friendlies.
We will see.

The thing with Beiranvand is that he has become one arrogant and annoying dude. Sometimes he just stands like a statue and doesn't even try to save the ball. I barely see any real fighting spirit and gheyrat in him - or anything that would impress or intimidate the opponent. He told his own fans to be quiet and later pulled the same BS "ashti kardan ba havadara". His shady character was already exposed when he suddenly joined Perspolis, despite claiming to be hardcore Esteghlali before that. And honestly, the Syria match overall still looks quite suspicious to me, but that's another topic...
Haghighi fighting spirit is unmatched and I have seen him jumping for every random shot. One has to be really motivated and hungry to do that. Furthermore, his experience might be only matched by Rahmati. In all these years he never created any sort of hashiye for TM and continues to fight his way up in Europe. Based from his instagram stories he is keeping himself fit every day with some interesting & modern training methods.
However the lack playing time indeed might be the key factor why Beira will keep his position, but it is still funny that people bring up the clubless thing as a "no-go" for Haghighi, but when it's about injury prone $hisha Dejagah everything is ok, fada saresh
Gotta love this beast mode:
btw. where are all those people claiming Beira should have been subbed in for the penalty shootout?Formerly known as Persianking!
