I personally wouldn't mind it, as I'd go and watch all his games, but in general I'd much rather see him in a better league.

I trust your judgement being you're probably more familiar with Scottish football than anyone else here but given the circumstances (which is him not even being in the math day squad for Rostov at the moment) Celtic would be nothing short of an amazing transfer for him. As many already touched on its a great feeder club to premier league teams and its a big club. sure the competition isn't the best in Scotland but if he shines here he should have some options of better places next season which is what any young player should take into consideration. step by step he needs to move up like JB did

Celtic would be amazing. Look at Wanyama. Started there, then moved to Southampton and now he's at Tottenham. It's a great gateway to the Premiership.

Virgil Van Dijk - same story but Celtic (at Ezatollahi's age!) to Southampton to Liverpool. Continued, progressive development which started at Celtic. People are attributing the improvement in Liverpool's defense which had been frail for such a long time to Van Dijk's leadership alone!

Celtic has 2 more days for transfer and needs defensive players, they have had a very bad transfer window.

Would be good for his confidence playing for them (pretty much guaranteed champions, plus play in a physical league, rodgers is a good coach), plus a good launch pad for the english league.

Our lads ought to understand if they want to reach new heights and better leagues, they have to aim at FEEDER leagues for the bigger euro leagues like the Dutch, Belgian, French even (while being a big league itself, but is also a big feeder to other top leagues like EPL, Bundeslga, ..). And yes, the scotish league is a feeder one into championship and EPL, particularly.

I seriously doubt big leagues scouts look very deep (maybe only the top 1 or 2 players of certain clubs. Thats all) into rosters of teams in russian, turkish, greek, ... leagues. In fact in most cases these leagues are where stars of bigger leagues go to die ... as in get forgotten and get lost in memory.
So if you're not having an extraordinary season in any of these leagues (like Azmoun's 2 seasons ago), then forget about it. Nobody sees you.

So choose carefully. And work your arse off to get noticed. By hook or crook.
which also means if somehow, by some great luck, you do get noticed by other leagues, ... and you have a say in things (no matter how small), then DONT F**K AROUND and play dumb or bacheh-naneh. That may be your once in a lifetime opportunity that may never come again.

It's a freaking mafia in that league. So regular, standard methods of scouting/hiring in that league, and in similar places, imo, isnt exactly as straight forward as other established leagues

Probably because those teams already have strong youth systems in order to bring in young, talented, domestic players. And if they want to spend any kind of money, like doctor doom said, they would he more inclined to get older foreign players from other leagues.

I would be happy with this. Championship would be a step up from the Russian league in my opinion. He would be on the radar of a lot of English teams.

I guess. They were the first non-Iranian source to report Leicester's interest, and that turned out to be true. So I'm hoping it's the same this time around.
