In any other NT they would have been left out...
CQ likes to keep updated about their players situation even if they are injured or without a club. he does it all the time. its not surprizing at all.

    FINAL CALL UP LIST
(Matches with South Korea and Syria)
    Dear friends,
With South Korea and Syria games and camps, we have this great opportunity of starting already our World Cup Preparation, building important experience for the team and players. We have a 37 Elite Player Group that is our preparation basis for the World Cup and this call up list, bringing some younger players, reflects our strategy of working on all this Elite Group. In other way, this doesn’t mean we are in condition to let behind experienced and reference players that we are used to have with us, like Pejman, Masoud, Teymourian or Heydary, who continue in this 37 Elite Player Group as important options for Team Melli. This is the list:
    GOALKEEPERS
    Alireza Beiranvand - Persepolis
    Hamed Lak - Foolad
    Alireza Haghighi - AFC United
    DEFENDERS
    Vouria Ghafoori - Esteghlal Tehran
    Roosbeh Cheshmi - Esteghlal Tehran
    Seyed Jalal Hosseini - Persepolis
    Mohamad Ansari - Persepolis
    Saied Aghaie- Sepahan
    Ramin Rezaeian - KV Oostende
Morteza Pouraliganjie - Al Sadd SC
    Milad Mohammadi - Akhmat Grozny
    MIDFIELDERS
    Omid Noorafkan - Esteghlal Tehran
    Saeed Ezatolahi- FK Rostov
    Ehsan Hajsafi - Panionios Athen
    Saman Ghoddos - Östersunds FK
    Ali Karimi
    Ashkan Dejagah
    FORWARDS
    Mehdi Torabi - Saipa
    Vahid Amiri - Persepolis
    Mehdi Taremi - Persepolis
    Alireza Jahanbakhsh - AZ Alkmaar
    Reza Ghouchannejhad - SC Heerenveen
    Karim Ansarifard - Olympiakos
    Sardar Azmoun - Rubin Kazan
    All for Team Melli!
    CQ
    From CQ facebook post.
i do think Kaveh rezaei will be invited sometime during the year to try out and see if he is maybe a potential player for team melli instead of some lazy forward players ( azmoun ) But i must say azmoun will be in the team for world cup since he has experience against top teams and even scored. but it all depends on his club situation

Kaveh should have been invited, this will do no good to his confidence, he was our best legionnaire lately.

The level of ignorance here is staggering. How about reading the news instead of pulling theories out of your asses, guys? Shojaei was not invited because, unlike Hajsafi, he did not agree to publish a statement and suck up to IR officials. That is the ONLY reason he did not get the invite.

I think the only doh-rageh players were Zandi and Davari who actually played for TM.
lol baba just leave it be i dont have energy for them either, according to those people azeris born in tehran are persians.

They actually call him do rageh on twitter already, not that its an insult but its just incorrect. he is do rageh when it comes to nationalities but not ethnicites.

Things I would like to see

    - Ryan Tafazolli getting an invite

    - Alex Samizadeh getting an invite

    - Dejagah and Seyed Jalal slowly getting replaced. Dejagah should only be invited IF he finds a great club and regains his form

    - Ali Karimi should be dropped until he finds a club. CQ needs to invite Soroush Rafiee

Has anyone noted that the next Swedish League game is between Ghoddos and Haghighi's teams on September 9th? Should be interesting!

Sad to see Shojaei dropped out but I guess he knows what he is doing. He did the right thing with Khalatbari and Ando so i guess its the right thing here as well.

Still dont understand how two clubless players are on the list, he should put pressure on them and tell them unless they join a club no team melli for you

Fantastic list I'm glad that noorafkan and cheshmi made the final list

Most importantly, I'm thrilled to see ghoddos in. I'm anticipating he'll play the last 20 min or so of the SK match.

As for the Masoud absence....I would not read much into it at all. He is probably giving a break to Masoud....he is one of his most experienced and favored players he will be back for the Russia friendly.
