He also plays for basically an amateur team in a league where most players have day jobs. Let's be real.Originally posted by Hoorad View PostTafazolli is playing in Europe and he's not being called up (EVEN AS A RESERVE), lots of players playing in Iran are being called up especially if they aren't playing good. Additionally, there's a major difference in being benched for Hank Veerman 9/10 and actually "playing in Europe"."Formerly known as AliDaeiClone"

The point was that he was playing in "Europe". That's not playing in Europe. I can go to Barcelona and kick a soccerball on the beach. That doesn't mean Im playing in Spain. Until he transfers, its not any better than IPL or some gulf league.Originally posted by Hoorad View PostSo? Beggars can't be choosers, look at the opposition he's playing against and he'll be eventually signed to a Championship side soon."Formerly known as AliDaeiClone"

He scores goals from set pieces in a decent league, and keep in mind I said we should have him in the RESERVES, not in the STARTING XI.Originally posted by AliDaeiClone View PostThe point was that he was playing in "Europe". whos a beggar ? I think we can safely say Jalal, PAG, Montazeri, and Cheshmi are all better than Tafazolli. I would be tempted to include Hosseini and Kanaani in there as well. Just look at how egypt exported hegazi and Ali Gabr ( Age 31) to West brom easily. All of our center backs are at least at that level.Originally posted by Hoorad View PostSo? I think you guys are a bit too harsh on Tafazolli. Yes, Hosseini is good, but even he gave a terrible sooti that cost us a goal against Bosnia in the last World Cup. His headers against Argentina were also awful. I don't think he's much faster than Tafazolli either, and age is definitely not on his side. While I don't think Tafazolli is as good as Hosseini over all, I definitely don't think he's as bad as you guys make him out to be. He's for sure better than PGPL defenders. If Tafazolli gets 5 past him against Leicester, PGPL defenders get 5 past them against UAE clubs and the sort. Definitely deserves to be on our bench at the very leastOriginally posted by inarsenewetrust View Postwhos a beggar ?
