Gucci has no place in TM anymore, he did a great job for his country and can from now on support his team e melli like the resr of us. With Azmoun, Ansarifard, Taremi, Rezaei and Ghoddos there is no place for him in the roster, he is the least talented of the mentioned players. I wish him all the best in his remaining career as a foorballer, but it would make zero sense if Quieroz invites him for the world cup...Comment

RGN may have lost a step, but by NO MEANS is he lesser than Ansarifard and most definitely and certainly Taromi.
NONE of the 4-5 options for the striker position have his level of instinct and presence of mind.
That doesnt mean he doesnt have to fight for a starting spot. But to drop him? not at all

I can't think of a Team Melli without Ghoochannejhad. He stepped up big time when we were incredibly desperate and single handily took us to the World Cup 2014. Not only that, he has been decisive so many times in several tournaments that it is a huge disrespect if CQ would ever drop him. His club form was never consistent but he is legendary simply because of he's always in the right position, right timing and moment.Comment

The Ghooch should definitely be in the WC squad. Not only does he have WC experience, he also always seems to come up big for TM when they need it most. And honestly, I would place him ahead of all of TMs current striking options except for Azmoun.Comment

Man if you think Gucci can match Taremi's speed and his handling of the ball (dribbling skills) you're only kidding yourself. Do you see Gucci making a similar rush which Taremi did against Russia, or assist like Ansarifard against Qatar and Uzbekistan? Fact is he lacks the talent, Taremi can play on the wings or as a second striker, is more versatile than most of our forwards. Ansarifard's club form, for the past 2 seasons up till now has been much better than Gucci's. Since Gucci can't play on the wings or as a second striker because of his lack of football skills (unlike Taremi, Rezaei and Ansarifard) he can only compete for the striker position. Making his options limited. Who in their right mind would pick him over Azmoun, Ansarifard, Rezaei, Taremi and Ghoddos? Gucci can't keep the ball upfront, he is weak in the air, his passing skills are not good enough, his main strength is his positioning off the ball. And that's not enough to be called up.
