Oh and new regulations means that they cannot bring young players from outside of the EU here and "older" players from outside of the EU need to be paid minim wages for which you can pay 4 players from Scandinavia.....so you do the math.......

And almost all big teams in Netherlands have permanent scouts in Scandinavia.

The above is the logical reason why.

The below is the emotional reason why.

We have Jahanbakhsh and Gucci (who are not considered by the Dutch as the best players of the league btw) while Scandinavians have had:

      Zlatan
      Henke Larsson
      Eriksen
      Isaksson
      The Elm brothers
      Toivonen
      Marcus Berg
      Granqivist
      Guidetti
      Fischer
      Soren Lerby
      Keneth Perez
      Poulsen
      Lasse Schone
      Jon Dahl Thomassen
      Grindheim
      Jari Litmanen
      etc
      etc
If Scandinavian players are cheap then Iranian players are free! For a good Scandinavian player they pay minimum 700-800 thousand euro. For a Iranian they don`t even want to pay the non-eu salary, so just forget about a transfer fee. Currently Iranian players also have good attitudes. Just look at Alireza, Gucci, Milad, Ezatolahi, Ghoddos, Ramin, Kaveh etc.

The reason beacuse they have had many good Scandinavians is beacuse they have brought many! How many Iranians have played in eredivise in the last years? If they brought 20 Iranians I guarantee you at least half of them would be a big sucsees. Yes they have permanent scouts in Scandinavia, why not in Iran? Scandinavian talent is not better than Iranian. And dont forget that a Iranian player have to perform 3 times better to be known as a good player or to get sold.

"Our" players aren't difficult. On the contrary, they are a dream to work with. Great work ethics, don't have to worry about partying, drinking dokhtar bazee (OK, except the last one) We've only had one difficult player/diva and that was Azizi that brought his stint in the MLS to a quick finish.
Its not the players, its everything else that comes with the player such as federations, politics, etc etc

I understand your frustrations but that has never been the issue for any Iranian transfers that failed.

AZ Coach on Alireza's performance on Sunday:

"AZ won Sunday mainly thanks to the strong right side. Alireza Jahanbakhsh's assassin was attacked. The assistant at the 1-2 came from his foot. Trainer John van den Brom eventually had promising words about his pupil. "Alireza was today elusive."

The assistant to the winning hit was the fourth assistant for Jahanbakhsh. In addition to his advances, the Iranian attacker himself was also dangerous for the goal. He himself could make a few hits. In Dutch, the happy right-wingers tell him what he himself left for the match in Friesland.

John van den Brom agreed after the game that the most danger came from the right. "This afternoon they did not hold. Every chance we created came from that side."

ith victory AZ is now fourth in the ranking. In the next round of play, Willem II will visit AZ. The match starts Saturday 4 November at 6.30 pm and is obviously live live in NH Sport on the radio"

Very proud of Alireza. After leaning English quickly, he has improved so much his dutch fluency.

Alireza is truly a one of a kind footballer. He is so driven and motivated. It's hard not to respect a professional like Jahanbakhsh.

I hope he reaches his dream; which is to one day become one of the best Iran had to offer to the World. Following in the footsteps of his old teammate and legend, Mehdi Mahdavikia

Jahanbakhsh did not play in the last games for team Melli, but right now in the league he is creating goals by assists and goals and good good football...

I hope he will take over more responsibility in team Melli and become better. In this current form, he can be a good replacement for Bayern Munich, who are searching for ribery and robben replacement.....somebody tell them this guy can be a good replacement and become better in the next years...

And on the 8.Day God created Ali Karimi, and he saw he was good!

Jahanbakhsh named in Fox Sports Oct. Team of the Month:

"The month of October is on, which means a new team of the month.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh of AZ and Jamiro Monteiro of Heracles Almelo are in addition to Faik in the midfield. Willem II striker Fran Sol stands next to both PSVs in the attack. ( FOX Sports )"
