    Yeah you are probably right.

It would have been better at the start of the season.

last game he literally collapsed to the ground in exhaustion after playing 90min about 45 min of which with a man down.
Considering the long travel for this game it wasn't surprising to see him benched in this game ..!
to be fair, birdman has always been mindful of not over-working Sardar and/or putting him under spotlight and too much pressure to deliver for his teams...!! Azmoun has never been that reliable Workhorse, game in/ game out, 90min player...!! and with a lucrative deal to off load him in near horizon, he sure aint gonna risk putting him in a situation that might injure his golden goose..!
Berdiev's teams always take a while before they start firing on all cylinders. Most of this Rubin's squad are just players he has inherited from the previous regime and tbh, this team really lacks quality in ACM and Winger position which makes it hard for any forward to shine in his already overly defensive game scheme ...!
there is still time for them to add a bit of much needed offensive reinforcements if they have any EU aspirations, as it stands doubt they can finish the season in top 5...?
i can see why they refused to sell Azmoun, he is just about the only reliable game breaker they seem to have in the current squad..! ?
i think in the second half of the season Rubin will be playing much better team football, but highly doubt Sardar can manage an impressive goal tally this year regardless, unless Rubin add some much needed quality in CM, Winger positions..!
Offensive service is quiet lacking in this Rubin and there is so much Sardar can do on the attacking front when he has to constantly track back to his own defensive half in order to get even a touch on the ball..!

Lol at people making hyperbolic statements about the career of a guy this talented and young.

          Chill.

He didn't make the right choice doesn't mean anything about his career being over. Hes in RPL not IPL.

Haha I don't really see Dejagah and Azmouns situation as being similar at all.

Again Azmoun is playing in the RPL not IPL or QSL.

Also you could have said the same about Gucci who made an even worse move than Dejagah and look at him now!

Sardar will probably get a big offer from Arab leagues after the world cup and that would be really the end of it for him

Baba, all indications are that he agreed personal terms with Lazio but the move fell through cause they couldn't reach agreement on an agreeable transfer fee with Rubin ..!
If he stays put in RPL after WC, then we can start to throw around these doomsday theories in regards to his Still very much young & promising career ..!
It's still way too early in the season to write him or even Rubin off ...!
For all we know, he could yet make the Lazio move before end of this transfer window..! He hasn't even reached the prime of his career yet & he perfectly suits Lazio's offensive scheme...! They'll be hard pressed to find a better value striker ..!
Those days that you could buy up such players for 10-20mil is Gone, (especially the sudden spike in transfer fees we've witness this past year) if they have any football ambitions then they must cough up the 18-20 mil it takes to snatch him, cause sure as shit transfers aren't getting any cheaper with time.
Ffs, they are asking 30+ mil for Keita who's sitting only on 1 year contract & unhappy there ..!how dafauq is it that they can't evaluate Sardar @ 18-20!!?

The Russian mafia isn't going to trade him unless they get a insane offer. Azmoun will most likely stay in the RPL for the majority of his career.

He should have at least stayed at Rostov they are sitting 2nd place in the leauge at the moment.

His career is not over, some are a bit too dramatic. Many of our players came back from bad decisions. Nekounam, Shojaei, even Gucci.

Hopefully AS Monaco will go after him to replace Mbappé that is going to PSG

He is also still a good fit & well within budget for Lpool & bayer lever or many other good top EU teams. He will easily demand $18+mil transfer fee figures & ATM all indications are that value is more likely to increase rather than decrease with the WC on the way & him clearly spearheading Iran's attack @ Russia 18.
In fact it's a good business decision for wanna-be Elite clubs such as Lazio to snatch him now before his value skyrockets out of their range likely after WC & then sell him on for a good bit of profit to richer clubs.
Neymar breaking over 200 mil transfer fee should be a clear sign of where the transfer market is headed, especially in relation to solid young talents with many years of football let in their tank.
