I hope our wingers play the match of their lives and deliver good service, he needs solid crosses to force something.

Unfortunately that is not true for their CBs. He will be marked by Ramos or Pique both of which are as tall or taller and as great in the air.

Shekari was really poor in his minutes. Pretty much gave every ball away.
Wasn't impressed by Mohammadi either esp. in the 2nd half.
          Azmoun was flawless though.

Fair point but let it be said, with the likes of Azmoun, Ezza, Taremi and our two CBs, we will absolutely tower over them at set-pieces.

its expected as it was shekari's debut, playing in unfamiliar position. He will improve and the fact he is already getting minutes is really promising. Mohammadi needs to pick it back up, hes out of form. With Saeid in really good form as well, I think our RPL guys are doing decent overall

its only natural... especially as far scoring goals is concerned...! without research im willing to be that would be true phenomenon, judging the scoring levels from their whole league perspective..!
havent you played before in shittt wintery weather and pitch conditions and noticed how it affects your own level of play, even just the haal o hosele to even suit up for a game under such conditions ..?

that is why its hard to compare quality of leagues based just on some scoreline here n there..! there are sooo many other factors that contribute to those ratings..!!

No, I agree with you actually. I didn't think he played the way you expect from a young prospect in Europe.

I remember both Azmoun and Jahanbakhsh looked much more promising in their debuts.

Having said that, Milad Mohammadi looked quite nervous in his debut and the following few games. He's now hands down the best left back we've ever had. Let's hope it's the same situation with Shekari.

yea but that was a CL fixture vs a giant of european football at home..!!
if you cant get hyped and feel warm all over for that then there be something seriously wrong with him..!!

but can you imagine flying 8 hours just to get to some bumFk egypt in middle of some frozen sahara to face some kiri opponent i donknow tom tom's sack?? in front of whoppin 150 folks in attendance in a typical rpl league game and actually getting pumped up for it..??

face it, even after the successful year he had last season, not many other EU clubs was gonna offer him a $imilarly lucrative contract and allow him to basically preserve himself and save his legs mostly for the all important WC coming up this summer in the same country....!
im fairly certain noone including the interested Lazio was guarantee him even 1/2 his current take-home pay..... and there he woulda had to adapt to a whole new language, country, culture and league style of play and still live up to likely very high expectations of their fans and still manage to preserve himself similarly as he has in Rubin so far, for the all important world cup, which is by all means is expected to be his supposed peak shining moment of his young career..!

What nonsense? Even if papov stole that goal that was almost in, it was Sardar who made all the 3 goals. Two assists and a goal, without Sardar papov would have done nothing, so not sure how papov could rate higher in that game.

bc whoscored ratings are statistically generated. So that one goal had a big impact on players ratings. They cant tell really if the goal was just a tap in, or that sardar did all the work. Thats why whoscored is a good general barometer for a players play, but should be accompanied by how people watching the game thought the player fared. For example today ARJ wasnt rated as AZ's best player, but he had a solid rating of 7.2. If you watched the game, then you know his influence was far greater than a 7, and he was actually motm for AZ

Wait... If Poopoff "scored" the goal, then It should be an offside and disallowed. It's clear that the ball had already crossed the line from Sardar tap-in.
