If you read the articles, they are saying nothing new. Just quoting that tweet from Mehrdad Seraji and even brought in the conspiracy theory that Italy will potentially replace them. They are just echoing what was said on the Italian blogsphere.

It's just a speculative and sensationalist article that is almost point-for-point what the Italian media wrote yesterday.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Word has it that the decision to not let women into the Mashad stadium was not made on the government level, but by the local administration and that further, that the federal government is furious with that locally made decision and the potential fallout. Some local decision maker may be punished as a result.

Alamolhoda (Raisi's father in law), that jakesh, and his goons. Wouldn't be surprised, although the government are a bunch of thugs too.

In 21 century when knowledge, science and enlightenment is dominating the agenda of every country, nation and person in the world, our country in hands of bunch of tugs and religious fanatics is still dealing with 7th century issues and is going down the path of destruction.

What is the problem of this dark religion with women?

Perhaps there is some truth in this? Mashad is known for being a religious shithole. I guess there would have been no problems if it was held in Tehran.

Iran football federation apologizes to women

                  Sports

                  March 30, 2022 - 17:25

TEHRAN - The Iranian football federation has apologized to the women who were prevented from attending the qualifying match against Lebanon.

The Iranian team defeated Lebanon 2-0 in Group A of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

Originally the sports ministry had made 2,000 tickets available to women for the match but they were prevented from entering.

The final qualifier took place in Mashhad's Emam Reza Stadium, where the 'Persian Leopards' won the match 2-0 thanks to goals from Sardar Azmoun and Alireza Jahanbakhsh.

The Iranian women were sprayed after trying to enter the stadium.

The football federation announced that it feels responsible for what happened in Mashhad and is sorry about that.

Kavian jaan, Islam is the worst and two clear examples are the Nesaa (women in Arabic) sooreh (chapter) in Koran calling for a husband to beat his wife if she is not obedient and the other is allowing child marriages (starting at age 9) plus polygamy that shamefully is legal in IR. Unfortunately, Judaism and Christianity are not far behind. The other significant problem is patriarchy worldwide that calls for male sex domination that is to a great extent present in this forum. We see people making fun of women in the forum in many ways (such and such looks like an old woman, such and such plays like girls) and objectify them by seeing them as sex objects and freely use the offensive word c**t with no consequences. I wish I live long enough to see an end to oppression of our women and end of patriarchy worldwide.

                    ... Now back to football.

                    Go TM!

Now on to the World Cup the circus is over and Iran will be at the World Cup. They tried to pull the same shit since 2006 and at the Olympics Iran still came away with more medals than whabbia and the apartheid regime. BBC, Saudi International and Manoto can send reporters to cover Team Melli, but hopefully they receive a big Bilakh.

2006 was insane. Guys like Moveddat and Nayebagha were showing up outside the stadium and bringing media with them demanding Iran be banned!
Former TM players for goodness sake.

Expect the same in Qatar, and even more in 2026 which will be in the US, Canada and Mexico.

As intelligent of a society Iranians are, we are a very greedy society (naïve too) and are never satisfied with what we have.

Doosteh azeez, The governments of U.S., Israel, Saudi Arabia, China and Russia do not and will not support the interests of Iran and Iranian people. They only support their own and the interest of their political establishments that are not even aligned with the interests of their own people. Them being the way they are and the extreme opposition of IR like MKO (who would have been the same or worse than IR if they were in power) being the way they are do not justify a backward regime that it's policies and LAWs are against the interest of women, half of the Iranian population and all of Iranian people for that matter. I hope there will not be any disturbing incidents in Qatar and we all stick to football and anyone here who wants tickets to support TM gets it in the second random draw phase after the draw tomorrow.

                              Go TM!

When these guys spend all their energies condemning the West more than IR; and Manoto more than IRIB - you have to wonder.
