    to be honest:

    1) it is Shojaei and Hajsafi fault. They should not played. They are not the first iranians in Europe. They knew that Daei, Karimi, Hashemian, Dejagah and others did not play vs. israeli teams. Ina dige kian, ke fekr mikonan mitunan hamchin gohi bekhoran? Bigger names did not play, so these two are Badman and Robin or what?

    2) Me personally: I would love no Iranian face israelis. It is right not to play them. Not because just Palestina, but because of ourself. If the world sanctions us, if Netanyahu and Co. say shit and do what their wants, there is no need to shake hands with israelis and have a match. I think it is right to "sanction" their sportsmen and women. because this f-uck them really up. They get angry about this ignorance.

    3) Shojaei and Hajsafi are not our best players. Both are slow. Shojaei is old, and did not impressed me so much. he is just experienced. but sometimes every Persian fan here get so angry in front of tv, when they see shojaei playing like an Mastmiveee.

    4) Hajsafi also is in stagnation. He is also slow and slim size. Did not improve. Okay, he can be a starter, or a sub-in, but in my eyes we have enough other good players to start and fill their places. Specially Shojaei kicked off can be a present.

    5) Of course it is not right to kick them off out of TM. Very bad indeed. But a logical consequences. And probably IFF and Coach is smart enough to not kick them out of the team Melli, but just not to nominate them. if they did not get any call-up, who can say something against this? I mean FIFA can not do something of IFF or Querioz just not call them up in the future.

    6) We had sportsmen in olympics, which refused to reach an gold medal (!!!!!!!!) and did not face israelis. And this two korekhars kick in a football match. It is their own fault.

    7) Enghadr GONDASH NAKONID. Iranians are so stupid to post under Fifa page hashtags with shojaeiHajsafi felan felan...it is our own fault, but also the foreign media and israelis themselves see this as a present to point this out in the world media. The world do not want Iran in world cup, because of Iran israel problematic, Iran use problematic. The media call Fifa to sanction us, and iranian fans support this with hashtags, how stupid and oghdei are we????

Ghoddos will be watching this closely. I would love him to play for iran but I would totally understand it if he looked at how the national team captains are treated and thought "this ain't for me"

Guys, screw the media. IR regime ain't going to change any time soon. Within the confines of this prison, we NEED to change certain aspects which are a global embarrassment.

Dameh rest of players garm (except that idiot Taremi) for supporting Masoud and Ehsan on social media.

I hope that things hot up and we get something out of this. As I said, I would sacrifice the best TM squad I have seen not playing at the WC if there is the seed of long-term change in our sports and this suffering nation.

          Good bants.

Players like dejagah have had to pull out of playing against Israeli teams and the stigma followed him all the way to England even though he couldn't do anything about it.

Statistical odds are that Ghoddos might well have to play against an Israeli team. Why should he have to accept being forced not to play or playing and being punished like this?

These things do make a difference for players (and also for clubs looking to buy Iranian players) so cool down on the facetious comment.

If we think like that, why do we play against USA, Saudi Arabia, why we played against Iraq after this brutal war? That's not how we should think an react, it just show we are weak, because we can't handle situations like these.
So tell me, Palestinians play against Israel, ma chera khodemun inja chos mikonim? Yea right, the same Palestinians we supported and fighted us in Syria and attacked Assad, like thank you guys!
I just don't get why we make such a big deal out of it, or leave in in Iranian terminology playing against "Big Satan" is ok but Israel is not ok?

It's just ridiculous how every other country in the world recognizes Israel as a country and Iran is like we will never! This just shows how backwards our nation and people are and while other nations keep developing and moving forward, Iran is constantly staying in a backwards state. The real problem is there is no stability in Iran that is why sh$t like this happens..

Some years ago the akhonds were mad at Israel for helping SAVAk to torture Iranians of whom some were molla and some students.
however sinne then a few things have happened that make many people angry. Assasiniation of some scientists with the help o israelies and saudi diplomats and sending viruses to Iran's factories by israelies have escalated the animosity. This is why they cannot be forgiven

Oghdei is the people who set the rule in the first place.

The Israeli players/sportsmen just want to compete to win. Thats what people do. Is it right for Iranians to be barred from USA/Europe because of what IR does? This is your logic.

                        2) Playing against Israel even with Netanyahu and cos work makes us look better. Refusing makes us jahan sevvom.

                        3) Shojaei is our starting CAM. One of the big reasons we controlled possession against China/Uzbekistan. Hajsafi also as DM made our midfield duo with Ezz amazing.

Every player that refused to play is a korekhar and Shojaei/Hajsafi are the sane ones.

Why dont we boycott Saudi,Iraq,UAE, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Pakistan, USA, Serbia, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, China, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, England, Portugal..part of the 36 countries that aided Iraq in the war?

When my family member acts like an idiot I call them out on it, I dont hush it up so the white neighbors dont hear us.

                              AUGUST 10, 2017
TEHRAN — Two players on Iran’s national soccer team were banned for life from playing for their country on Thursday after they participated in a match with their club team in Greece against an Israeli team, an Iranian governmental official said.
The players, Masoud Shojaei, 33, the captain of the national team, and Ehsan Haji Safi, 27, one of Iran’s most promising players, played for their Greek club team, Panionios, in a home game last week in Athens against Maccabi Tel Aviv from Israel.
“It is certain that Masoud Shojaei and Ehsan Haji Safi will never be invited to join the national football team because they violated the red line,” Mohammad Reza Davarzani, Iran’s deputy sports minister said Thursday on Iranian state television.
The Iranian government does not recognize the state of Israel, and has no official ties with the country. A longstanding rule by the country’s Islamic government prohibits Iranian athletes from competing against Israeli athletes in any contest or tournament, including the Olympics.
Critics in Iran say the ban on competing against Israel has hurt the development of Iranian athletes, forcing them to forfeit or pull out of competitions in which they might face Israeli athletes. But hard-liners in the republic insist that ideology trumps sports.
Last year, the Iranian Olympian Alireza Khojasteh withdrew from the judo competition at the Rio Games, citing personal reasons. It is widely thought that he did so to avoid the possibility of facing an Israeli opponent.
It took Iranian officials more than a week to announce the suspension of the two soccer players, who both played the full 90 minutes in their team’s 0-1 defeat in the second leg of a home-and-away series in the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round. Iran’s Parliament, in a special meeting of the foreign policy committee on Sunday, had already denounced the two players.
Ehsan Haji Safi, left, played for Panionios of Greece last week in Athens wearing a wristband representing the Iranian flag in his team’s game against Eyal Golasa and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
PANAGIOTIS MOSCHANDREOU / EUROPEAN PRESSPHOTO AGENCY
“Agreeing to play in a game against athletes of a regime that has given humanity nothing other than occupation, murder, aggression and betrayal is disrespectful of the rights of thousands of martyrs and those displaced and affected by the occupying Zionist regime,” the spokesman for the committee, Hossein Naghavi-Hosseini, told the semiofficial Mehr news agency.
Iran’s national soccer team has been on a winning streak recently under its Portuguese coach, Carlos Queiroz. In June, Iran became the first team from Asia to qualify for the World Cup in Russia, defeating Uzbekistan 2-0. Mr. Shojaei played 70 minutes in that decisive game, while Mr. Haji Safi was an unused substitute watching the match from the bench.
Missing two key players a year before the World Cup tournament could undermine the team’s chances of advancing in Russia.
“This is ridiculous; there is no law against playing against Israelis, it’s a decision for every athlete to make him or herself,” said Moeen Farrokhi, 28, a supporter of Iran’s national team. “They weren’t even playing for Iran, but for their club that invested in them.”
In fact, neither Mr. Shojaei nor Mr. Haji Safi participated in the club’s first game against Maccabi in Israel, which the Greek club also lost, 1-0.
“I am wholeheartedly hoping for FIFA to deprive Iran from participating in the World Cup for banning Shojaei and Haji Safi,” said another Iranian soccer fan, Hushang Mirza, on Twitter, referring to soccer’s world governing body. FIFA has rules that forbid political interference in countries’ national teams. There was no immediate reaction from FIFA on the decision by Iran to ban the players.
“These two are good players,” said Pejman Rahbar, a well-known sportswriter for the Varzesh3 website in Iran. “They can be replaced, but that is not an ideal situation.” He did not want to comment on the political nature of the decision, saying only, “We have to see what FIFA will decide.”
Mr. Shojaei also made headlines in June when he asked Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani, to allow women into the stadium for the team’s games. Since the Islamic revolution in 1979, women have been barred from entering soccer stadiums because conservative Shiite Muslim clerics say such places are inappropriate for women.
After Iran’s victory over Uzbekistan in June in Tehran in front of 60,000 men, Mr. Shojaei said, “They should set a course that women are also allowed to come to stadiums in the future.”
