he did, and he is capable. But he is still physically not good enough ( stamina or strength) and still holds on to the ball too long, and doesnt track back on defense ( for the last two, see Oman game ) . IF he goes to Rostov, the physique and stamina should be dealt with, as well as the lack of consistent defensive effort ( which he showed he can contribute in at the WC).For holding on to the ball too long, he will need games to figure that out.Originally posted by Tehranto View PostHe killed it in the U20 World Cup. Current ability and Potential ability are 2 different things. Yes he showed great skills against there u20 players but to play 90min in front of full grown man in a physically charged league like Russia is no easy challenge. He needs a lot of work to reach his potentials.Originally posted by Tehranto View PostHe killed it in the U20 World Cup. and the good news is, with his level talent, even some decent / standard russian coaching should get him a long way. Remember he is where he is now ( a star of the u20 WC) purely based on talent. He has not recieved any coaching at all whatsoever apart from some TM Omid camps with Peiravani ( and how much legitimate tactical and technical coaching can really be transferred out of this man )Originally posted by Ali Doust View PostCurrent ability and Potential ability are 2 different things. Ill agree with that. The poor kid was basically club less the last season because of incompetent Zob Ahan managementOriginally posted by inarsenewetrust View Postand the good news is, with his level talent, even some decent / standard russian coaching should get him a long way. He really needs to leave. Can't see him displacing gatskan or yusupov who are both far more experienced in the art of this shitty league than he is. He should have taken that getafe offer all day. But he has gained valuable experience with Rostov and been exposed to football on the biggest stage, so let's not act as if nothing positive happened.
Now I think it's time he went to a league like Greece or Belgium and just played consistently for a decent team. With his physical and technical talent, regular game time anywhere will attract top suitors.
As for shekari, if Rostov is his only offer, he has to take it. If he has other potential offers on the table, then he should probably reconsider.
