What is next for this class of U16?

They are too young for next year U19 games. Actually, we don't have a U19 team or a U19 coach.
Those who are members of PGL clubs they will have a better chance to have a better future. Down the road, there is U19 and U21 in a few years if they can make it.


What is Next for future U16?

We have a great U14 class and they will have a better chance.
From current U16 class, Sharifi & Doostali can play again.
More likely Chamanian will be their coach.

Honeslty I don't care about these afc u16 games anymore. We qualified several time for U17 WC where we did extremely well each time. Except Eza, no iranian went to Europe after. Europe was letting Kaveh rotting in Iran for so long. If an iranian owner wasn't there, he would still be playing in IPL.

We trashed France, Germany, Mexico last time and lost against the winner Spain in quart of final last time. For what results? Shariati was thrown like a garbage from PSV trial. So was Esmailzadeh for Groningen. Delfi isn't in PSV.

Well these are the players that USUALLY (Not always) will become national team player. For example, Jahanbaksh, Rezaei, Ezzi were all players in these levels. If they don't produce maybe the quality of our players has gone down ?

Last month Oman played twice with Iran and lost.
Iran beat them 2:1 same way Japan beat then 2:1.

I don't remember Karimi, Daei, Mahdavikia, hashemian and most of our TM stars shining in Youth WCs.
And when you see how successful U17 Wc, u20 WC or even senior WC aren't enough to export our best players to european clubs they deserve, you understand failing in these youth tournament isn't the end of the world.

Btw you can also see lot of exotic countries like uzbekistan, Canada, New zealand doing ok in youth level but don't seem to confirm in youth level

Japan & Tajikistan advanced from group A, but both advanced to Semi.
The format did not call for Extra time, just direct to PK after 90 Min.

They have done well so far, more than my expectation.
They have progressed much better than Iran since 2016 with U14.
During AFC Regional U14 Championship in Tajikistan, Iran U14 ( same current U16) defeated Tajikistan U14( Current U16) 5:2.

For u14 then we had sensational Nokhodkar who was top scorer. For Tajikistan, same U14 players Rakhmatov and Zoreov scored for Tajik during the current U16 championship.
