I've received info that Alireza really wants to establish himself further in Sweden along the wave he's riding now. By far the most positive period for him personally in terms of playing in Europe rn, which is further enhanced by how weak his team really is. It's been a turn around since they changed the coach and started playing Alireza.

He actually was number one in Portuguese top division before WC. Not sure playing in bottom table Swedish league team is the most positive period and is not like he was really great or spectacular.

"It was a good match, I think. It was very important that we naturally won. Each match for us now is like a final. For my part, I do my utmost and try to control the defense as much as possible.

How do you assess the quality of IFK Göteborg?
"IFK Göteborg had some chances, they played well, but we pushed well and we have built up the defense well. We have a newly created team, and they need time to adapt, but we do not have time with now.

You were close to dropping a goal, but Omarsson burned a free kick. The game was otherwise similar to the goals you set in against Örebro where the opponents came in from the edges and fit an unmarked player in the penalty area.
- Yes, we were lucky he missed. We need to work more to defend and communicate and I try to help my backs as good as possible.

for our swedish guys . What team do you think could be a good fit for ARH upon expiry of contract, assuming he continues his good form ? Any with possible gk deficiencies that they coud be in the market to solve in Jan ??

AIK is badly in need of a new goalkeeper. After Malmö, we're the best team in Sweden. We promoted a youngster from our academy for this season, we hoped he would be good but he has piled up mistake after mistake. He has single handedly cost us 12 points and Europa league qualification. Look up highlights for Braga vs AIK (the 2nd leg) and you'll see what I mean. It'd make sense for us to go for Haghighi, but I have a feeling the board will go for someone they can sell on for more money so I don't see it happening unless he doesn't expect a high salary.

AFC Eskilstuna beat IFK Gothenburg 1-0 just now and Haghighi started as usual. He only had 2 saves to deal with though it seems, but his team are now at 18 points with five matches left. They can still survive relegation if they keep this form up.

Despite the win, he was the worst player on his team today. One goal was completely his fault and finished the match with a rating of 5.9.

He should have got the first goal but really, it's not the worst goal I've seen. The blame should be on the defense, how did he get so open so close to the net?
