We can't commend CQ for having chosen best squads (given results) and then criticize him for choosing a strange list.
I think the list is capable of winning both games and that's what is important.
Ando's role is not just one of someone that brings so much experience to the team - he is also our "Mr. Motivator", I guess again the two teams can be beaten by this squad.
Re: Keeper, it is about the next in line and that means Akhbari, although given the 3 of them, Mazaheri gets my vote.

He has been training on sidelines during TM training this time around. He's injured.Originally posted by Iran_19 View PostWas Vouria really injured? I can't find anything regarding to that!!
I echo your sentiments. I also prefer Mazaheri.Originally posted by The Realist View PostWe can't commend CQ for having chosen best squads (given results) and then criticize him for choosing a strange list.

CQ always talks about experience. He wanted to mold Rafiei into his CAM but his conscription issues got in the way. He doesn't want to risk and experiment at this stage. I think because of this Dejagah will be our CAM even in the World Cup (if we make it).Originally posted by Iran_19 View PostWas Vouria really injured? I can't find anything regarding to that!!

That's not the only thing that is important! I mean with Amiri and Jahanbakhsh, we do just fine and will probably win this game too! But by having a guy like Torabi around, we have a great backup who trains with these guys and is ready to jump in when needed! We have the same situation in our backline and in the striker position. We don't have it in the CAM position. We might win this game with what we have, yes. But at some point we need a good young backup who has trained with these guys and is ready to jump in when needed. We can not include a backup right before the WC. He needs to have been with TM for a while. Unfortunately the CAM position is something we don't have a future plan for which can turn out to become our weakness!Originally posted by The Realist View PostI think the list is capable of winning both games and that's what is important.

but if you think Mazaheri is a sharper goalkeeper why do you want Akhbari to prove himself in a big game? It should rather be Mazaheri doing that, right?Originally posted by Iranianarsenal11 View PostI think Mazaheri is sharper at goalkeeper and has better reflexes, but if theres any time to play Akbari in a big game before Beiranvand is back, its now…
Akbari has 1 or 2 games to prove why he's a solid keeper

Good question.. I think Mazaheri is sharper, but I also want to see Akbari get a chance. We have two games against weak opponents in comparison to the games we have already played: Syria and Papua New Guinea. If Akbari can't start in those games, he will likely never startOriginally posted by Sly View Postbut if you think Mazaheri is a sharper goalkeeper why do you want Akhbari to prove himself in a big game? The best thing is if they get to play a game each. Maybe Mazaheri should play the more important Syria game.Originally posted by Iranianarsenal11 View PostGood question.. Having said that, I have a feeling Sosha Makani will play against Syria.

It's possible… We never know what will happen, but Makani has been on fire in his club. Comparing 2nd tier Norweigan league to Iranian clubs is like comparing apples and oranges. There is talent on both sides, although I think his league is more on par with the azadegan league. You can't deny he's made wonderful saves though, and it wouldn't surprise me if he transferred to the Tippeligaan.Originally posted by Sly View PostThe best thing is if they get to play a game each.
