U-17 World Cup 2017

4 wins and 1 loss -> TOP 8 in the world. TM U-17 performed well and made us proud. This team is full of talented players and hopefully they can continue to develop and become better players. This tournament was a great experience for our players, testing their abilities against the best in the world.

I mean, you cant compare the top-level academies of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Atletico Madrid with academies in Iran run by Paykan, Saipa and Sanat Naft etc.
Even FC Kia is run by Mehdi Mahdavikia and his friends (their own pocket money) and not by a rich company or a club.

I congratulate the players and the coaching staff on their historic accomplishment.

The speed of Spain team was unbarable for our u17 boys. Our answer was Aliaskari football of the worse kind.

The 2018 Asian U16 championship is in October of 2018. That's the next U16 event to look forward to.

Lol not play defensive? What kind of game do you want us to play against Spain, we would have conceded 8 goals if we would have played more offensively.

Big thanks to our kids. They showed themselves on the world stage. Now it's up to them to work harder and improve because the gap between u17 and professional football is big. Not many players make it big from the u17 usually.

i mean we played defensivly from min, we should have pressed them and played our normal game, then we would have be equal but first 10 mins we were pressed hard, and conceded in min 12, we should not have played that defensivly.

please stop with the uefa pro-level coaching... we played EVERY game with long balls, football ano 1960... it was just sheer individual class and luck/destiny and worse opponents that brought us to this stage. our coach is absolutely clueless

i am still baffled why he played so defensivly, we played 4 games and we attacked and try to control the game why this game we were so poor, i still dont know

Not a happy ending game.
Iran lost to a better team and own bad game plan.
Overall, they did well and congratulation to all of the players and the team.

Chamanian will be with new U16 players and there will be new talents,like of Bavieh , SHaverdi.... And hopefully Chamanian has learned from this experience.

This group will move up to U18 and some will join Pourgholami U19 team.

These talents should move to Europe! Now! Not even when they're in U19 TM but NOW!

To be honest, i also had a feeling it's rather the players' talents than the coach that was behind U17 TM's success.

What worries me is that this success may get Chamanian closer to TM after CQ!

in the match against Costa rica as we all agree we should have taken it easy and should have rested key players to avoid getting the first yellow card that would carry over. we did not need to use full force. ,......too much arrogance sometimes to show the world a record.
besides that the jackass referee in mexico game clipped the wings of the team by too many cards. He did have the intention so that our U17 team would not go further.

the way we played today was caused by fear factor that finally sank in. but the team finally lost its horsepower. we really do not know how to preserve energy for critical moments.
