Incredible result , but totally deserved . They were tactically impeccable , did exactly what chamanian told them . They were very compact without the ball but put Germany into traps where they would spring the press and escape on the break . Brilliant performances throughout , for me Delfi and shariati stood out , as did other defenders . Gk was quite good as well

Best part is , we can rest starters now , and be fully fresh for knockouts . That is excellent considering the weather , energy expended by the team in these last two physical games

Big shout out to Abbas Chamanian (sp?) - refreshing this is a tactically sound, calm team. After the game, the boys didn't go crazy with the win, they all seemed on a mission.

Also, amazing defense we have. Taha Shariati is a beast and so is Esmaielzadeh. Both are very smart and tactically and technically sound.
