AFC U-16 FINAL (IRAN VS IRAQ) (LIVE REPORT)

I suspect at least a couple of their players being over 16, but it doesn't change anything. Nigeria has been doing the same thing and no body stop them on world stage. The countries who rely on overage players will take the hit in long run, their senior teams won't have any development and their so called young talents retire from football in age 29-30 (real 33-34). We had Kaebi and I believe a couple of other players like Badawi who retired from football early. Kaebi was a good player anyway but the practice of using overage player is so rampant that it is hard to stop in all countries. I hope we have prevented this 100% in our country.Originally posted by Tehranto View PostIf there is any justice, these cheaters will be banned. This is sickening. Shame on Iraqi FA.

If we lost to Japan, Australia, South Korea, U-16 Iraq, Vietnam etc.. Then hard luck and they deserved it. Iran's lost before and they'll lose again. It's football. But this is cheating.Originally posted by shahin2000 View PostTo those who keep saying Iraq was playing with their over 20 yr old players, you are nothing but sore losers.
Facts were posted on first two pages. You're just ignorant. If you don't want to know the truth about this topic, then comments like this are just made out of pure ignorance.

chill out....we ran out of gas and had no structured team work....Originally posted by Tehranto View PostI don't think we lacked quality. They used overage players - this is the outcome that was expected. That's why I was posting facts about their systematic use of overage players. We took them to penalty shootouts. Kudos to our boys.

Number 3, 21 and the blond guy (even even though he missed the penalty) have alot of potential. The most important thing is where we go from here. One thing for sure is that teams like Japan and South Korea will improve.Originally posted by Tehranto View PostI don't think we lacked quality. Let's give Iraq credit , they played better than us and we're not tired like we were at the end of the game and penalty shootout
Those 2 penalties we missed were %100 result of being physically tired ,therefore lack of power and concentration
Now there is no question than half of the Iraq team is over 18 but if AFC is ok with them then what can we do about it ?!??

Correct. Against overage players you will run out of gas.Especially when you're 16 and don't have fully developed bodies.Originally posted by Nader25 View Postchill out....we ran out of gas and had no structured team work....

Our team work was not great in this tournament we just had better talent. I agree with that perspective. But when you're physically taxed, then all plans go out of the window.
The Iraqi team were better in the 90 minutes. If Iran won PK, it was kind of undeserved. Someone with sour grapes would not say this. But this is cheating and goes beyond who we are playing.Last edited by Tehranto; 10-02-2016, 07:48 AM.

We have to nurture the talents. Shariati, Sharifi, Esmailzadeh and Allahyar (and potentially also Delfi) have good potential.Originally posted by football.club View PostNumber 3, 21 and the blond guy (even even though he missed the penalty) have alot of potential. Please stop racist characterizations.Originally posted by football.club View Postin a few years, the guys from Fc Kia is going to represent TM (U-16 team). They'll destroy everything in their way. Let lizards celebrate their victory, no one cares about winning this tournament, we qualified for the world cup and that is enough.
