They're now the Europa League play off spots which is insane thinking they were so low in the table just a month ago

This is really quite a story - from battling relegation to a Europa league spot. This deserves more praise than he is getting - he's a rookie coach!!! Damesh garm I'm really happy to see him succeeding like this

          Perspolis FC
          Malavan Bandar Anzali

            Nouri's post match comments:

"Alexander Nouri (Werder Bremen): "It was tough, really difficult Ingolstadt it has very, very well done, we had a lot of technical errors, not as the flow of the game, but the team has gefightet, fought back with a great team performance Max... His moments for himself.I rarely lift out players, But today everyone saw it. I will not be presumptuous and will call a new goal. If it's enough for one of these places: Yes, exciting.""

            "Bremen's astonishing turnaround

When Matchday 20 came to an end in February, Werder Bremen were 16th - three points adrift of safety after a run of four straight defeats and two draws. Ten games later, Werder Bremen are sixth and on course to qualify for the Europa League after a run of eight wins and two draws.

Alexander Nouri has overseen an astonishing turnaround - and that despite injuries to key attacking players, particularly top scorer Serge Gnabry who has missed most of the current unbeaten run with a back problem. But the fact that others have stepped up to share the burden of goal scoring is testament to the belief which is now flowing through this squad. First, Thomas Delaney scored a hat trick in a 5-2 win away at Freiburg, before Max Kruse trumped the Dane with a four-goal haul in Ingolstadt this weekend.

A club of Bremen's size and pedigree should be competing in Europe and attracting top players, and Europa League qualification would provide the perfect incentive for the likes of Gnabry to stay and continue to develop.""

Alexander Nouri expected to be offered a 2-year deal with Werder Bremen:

"Werder Bremen: Frank Baumann plans to continue with Alexander Nouri

Sportchef Frank Baumann expects a stay with coach Alexander Nouri. "We want to continue with him, he wants to stay, so I assume that we will reach an agreement," said Baumann on Sunday the Internet portal of the Kreiszeitung Syke ( werderstube.de ).

n the upcoming talks, the 37-year-old Nouri is to be offered a contract for at least two years.
Nouri's contract is at the end of the season. After ten games without defeat, the coach had last declared that he would "continue to work". In February Nouri was on the verge of ten games without defeat, just before the start of the current success.

When the contract is extended, Baumann plays only a secondary role. "If both sides have said so clearly, it will not come on for a few days," he said, emphasizing, "We were always convinced of him, he works very meticulously, can grab the team emotionally Trainertalent. "

Werder is in second place in the backround table with 26 points behind record champion Bayern Munich (28 points)."

              "Nouri publishes talks

Alexander Norui made no secret of his wish to hold the Cheftrainerpost at Werder Bremen over the end of the season. "The fact that I would like to work here and would like to continue working is not a question," said the 37-year-old after the 4-2 -Sieg the Green-Whites over the FC Ingolstadt loud "dpa".

Just two months ago rumors about a dismissal of the Skripnik successor were held: Four games in a row, Bremen had not won then, the fifth game against the 1. FSV Mainz 05 was stylized by the media to the destiny part for the coach.

But with a victory against the nods, Nouri not only secured his position, he also started with the Hanseats a series without a single defeat, which continues today and makes the club of the Europa League dream.

The contract of the one-time coach of the second team runs out in the summer and due to the current success stories one has at the Weser understandable interest in a continuation of the cooperation: "I assume that Alex Nouri will be our coach in the coming season" Managing Director Frank Baumann gave Werders the "Sportschau".

"In the next few days," Nouri announced after the match against FC Ingolstadt, there will be discussions with the club management."

Very interesting article regarding how there were 9 coaching changes in the Bundesliga, and Nouri was the most successful out of them all:

"Of nine coach exchanges, only one was a match

There are 18 clubs in the Bundesliga, the coach has changed nine times this season. However, this success had only one club. A club reached twice.

A total of nine Cheftrainer were already released from their duties in the running Bundesliga season. Each in the firm belief that it runs better without it. That who else makes the job better, more successful, measured by the results. Only the numbers in professional football, the Bundesliga is business, numbers decide. The way? Secondary. Sounds superficial, is often so.

The change of coach has only paid for the exception. In Bremen, where Werder under Viktor Skripnik was in all respects at the lowest point. Tactical, physical and in the table. The near-descent was no longer competitive. Skripnik's successor, Alexander Nouri, was in the middle of the season with a lot of moderate skill. Werder is now playing fast, successfully and moving into international business . On average, they earned an average of eleven points in the Nouri.

The league does not offer a comparable success story. Bremen is the outstanding example of the season when it comes to changing coaches and their consequences. But at least in Ingolstadt, Darmstadt and Mönchengladbach the exchange of the managers also had positive consequences."

Nouri is a baller, he could end up getting picked by bigger clubs at this rate.

Alexander Nouri @ Werder Bremen 16/17 [coach]

The highest position Bremen can reach this season is fifth place.

There is also a very small chance where Hoffenheim lose their last 4 matches ( Frankfurt, Dortmund, Werder, and Augsburg), Hertha does not beat all 3 opponents (Leibzig, Darmstadt, and Bayer), and finally Werder to win their last 3 games (Cologne, Hoffenheim, and Dortmund).

If that were to happen, Bremen would have gone from the relegation spot (round 20) to being just 1 point away from a champions league spot come the end of the season
